[ROM] Android Open Kang Project- Jelly Bean Style

Can't get any of the toro build 2 mirrors to work. Now I'm sad. Or maybe the stars are telling me to wait for build 3 ... hmmm

I tried build 2 and it worked for about 20 minutes although it was a little laggy. Then I started getting system errors and it wouldn't quit even after rebooting. This was from a totally clean install. I would maybe try build 22. I went back to my build 1 backup. Running great again.

Ive also noticed lag in this build. Same setup, totally clean install. Thought it might be a kernel problem, but its still doing it with Franco 251. Also had 2 random reboots since flashing. Looking forward to Build 3.

Interesting.. no lag or issues here, and I dirty flashed it over build 1 :-X

Using franco's milestone 5 also, fwiw (the recent nightlies are giving me the wifi issue some users are experiencing that he's working on).

I had issues after dirty flashing Build 1, 2-3 reboots a day for a week or so on it. Went to Nandroid of Aug 31 nightly and was good again. Let's see how Build 2 does dirty flashing over nightly, with r251.

Dirty flashed over build 1 and haven't encountered any lag or other issues. I don't use custom ringtones with my contacts so haven't encountered the dialer force closes. I am running the latest stable version of LeanKernel.

So there are really no issues with build 2? I'm itching to flash something. I have this and skank at the ready...

The only issue that I've heard about is that custom ringtones for your contacts is broken. Trying to set up custom ringtones will result in your dialer force closing. The team has said that it should be fixed in build 3. I don't use custom ringtones so I'm happy with build 2 on my Galaxy Nexus.

I use them. I guess I'll have to see if it causes a force close when my phone rings after a dirty flash! :D

Yup, unlike the disappointing lagmonster known as CM10 M1. :/

If you all say so... Won't hurt to test it out...

Yikes.. nvm... Yeah, I use custom ringtones as well. I'll wait for build 3.

Dirty Flashed and got the FC's plus it wouldn't connect to network. I'm assuming because of the FC's. I only have a few custom ringtones that I can remember. Might switch them to default and try again....or might just wait for build 3.

Same here, flawless.

Also here, was great yesterday being at home with wifi on. Almost 3hrs of screen time, put on charger with 11% left. Auto brightness, 14xxmhz high, low of 749mhz. Better than what I was seeing on Build 1, with no FC and reboots.

Had this flashed for 12 hours. Got 3 reboots and crazy lag.

To all the people on the fence. To clarify, The lag I mentioned is super minor, I was coming from a Bugless build and doing a direct comparison to that. It might be 99% stock but its the smoothest package out there IMO. Unfortunately, I can't live with it after being spoiled with features on other ROMs. AOKP is the most solid of the full featured ROMs and build 2 added a few key features i wanted in AOKP. Like Volume track switching.

I've been running the often-despised stock kernel with awesome results. Deep sleeps chills in the 80 percentile, which is beautiful. Performance seems smooth and clean so far, too.
