[ROM] Android Open Kang Project- Jelly Bean Style

Well, a full wipe is exactly that - you won't have any saved data or apps. If you backed up using an app like TiBu, you should be good. But otherwise, you'll have a clean phone (save for the SD info).

Oh, and if this is your first JB ROM, expect your boot to be like 10 mins or so. If you wait 30 with nothing, you might have an issue, but the first takes obnoxiously long.

I think I'm good now... It's booted a few times successfully... Gonna make a nandriod before I mess with themes. Thanks!

Pretty amped for build 4. Been checking out their gerrit tho. Doesn't seem like they've added much yet.

Folks at AOKP stated that they will be doing nightlies on sundays for the future. So we should see builds once a week now that Roman isn't in charge of kraken builds and he left everything to Sethyx.

Anyone noticing the WiFi signal dropping in Build 3 when the phone isn't in use over 15 minutes? I would update to B4, bit I forgot my laptop at my GF's house and work too far to pick it up. Hopefully B5 fixes any issues you guys see on B4

Easy now, I love using the term Kraken. lol

I heard they will be announcing via Twitter on Thursdays whether or not a new build will be coming Sunday. Thats how they did it this week. So if your into AOKP releases, thats a good reason to start following.

Ive had this problem as well on build 3. Ill pick up the phone and it will be on 3G and try to reconnect to Wifi, sometimes it won't connect at all. If i end up flashing B4 overtop ill report back if the problem resolves, I hesitate to at the moment because because thats the only issue i am having. B3 + F277 is running insanely well.

I also noticed this. The issue seems to be that WiFi is set to turn off when the phone goes to sleep as the default configuration in B3. I fixed it by going into Settings --> Wifi --> Advanced and setting the Wifi to stay on always.

I flashed Build 4 and noticed that the Ring Targets still don't seem to be working. It allows me to choose up to 5 targets, however they don't seem to take affect. Am I missing something?

I didn't even think about doing this since I never had the issue with AOKP. Props on this

How are you guys doing on battery life with this ROM? I'm getting anywhere from 12-16hrs on an extended battery with franco kernel. Moderate use.

Build 3 and Franco 276 are horrible for me. use extended 3800, unplu at 5 am and my 50 minute trip to work and no use I drop down to 95, by lunch time I am at about 50% with most phone calls, very little use, by the time I head home I am at 30%. I use to get better life from Jakeday with his ports and AOKP Build 1. using basically all the same apps. don't know what else to do I hope B5 Fixes some issues.
Also have to say Wife's phone is stock and got the OTA JB update and she complains about battery life too, maybe something with JB as some have stated its Google now.

Build 3 wasn't that great for me either. Have you tried 4 yet? Seems ok to me so far. I tested it with their stock kernel and battery life was pretty poor. Improved substantially with Franco Kernel. Then again I did do a clean install instead of dirty like I have in the past. I'm not sure how much of a difference that makes.

DF'd to build 4 a little while ago. Hopefully battery life gets better, though I still suspect the cause of my battery woes have to due with the newest radios. Hm. Guess we'll see.

Why do you need your laptop? I haven't use my laptop/desktop for my phone since unlocking/rooting many months ago. I flash at work, waiting in line at venues (etc.), on the jon, at the airport, on the plane, on the train, camping, at bars, driving, on boats,...ok not driving/on planes but you get my point:p

What's up with the double posting, again? LOL

I dunno, that's the first time that happened to me. o_O I clicked reply, and I got a dialog box asking if I wanted to stay on the page or leave it. If I clicked stay, nothing happened, and I just stayed on the page. So when I clicked "leave the page", my post showed up "doubled".

Eh, so far, battery life still seems pretty lackluster. Geez, played around with some stuff on my calendar for about 15 or so minutes, and I lost, like, 11%.
