Hello guys and gals of AndroidCentral...

I have been looking around and I see that most ROMs require you to wipe system, boot, cache, and sometimes data before you can flash a zip file..

I also see that (with the power of Android Edify) you can create a zip that does it for you.

So, do you have a ROM that you want to flash but need to wipe everything and may want to pertain your data? I can help!

I have created a TOOL (well actually two of them).. one wipes EVERYTHING (Boot Animation, System, Data, Cache, and Dalvik Cache, AND /sdcard/.androidsecure)... and the other does the same thing except doesn't remove User Data..

HOW TO WIPE THE SYSTEM/DATA (DEPENDING ON WHICH YOU ARE USING)/CACHE/BOOTANIMATION/"/sdcard/.androidsecure" WITH THE ZIP FILES:

Just Flash these in recovery... NO Need to wipe cache or anything... just flash.. This will remove System Files from your system allowing you to flash a ROM without having to manually wipe the system.

How would I go about changing this setting?

Don't bother, I just tried changing it on CM7 and unfortunately it had no effect on battery life with BT on.

So I tried searching the thread, hopefully I haven't repeated someone else's question.

Is usb host mode enabled in this kernel? I'd like to be able to hook up my Garmin (self-powered) device to read / write files from / to the phone.

I understand that the device is probably not beefy enough to power a mouse or keyboard.

Currently, USB host mod it not enabled.
It requires another module to be built, which makes the kernel & ROM larger and takes longer for the phone to boot.
I have no plans to add it, but your welcomed to do it yourself.

Great ROM thekraven the best IMO

To report some issues I've had with a clean install of 7.1.01 and the recommended ad ons
Ringer (out of speakerphone) and mic doesn't working with headphones in.
Syncing, at least with Gmail doesn't work.
There is a voicemail notification that rings on boot unless you turn it off in the settings.
And the Built in Tether isn't working, for me at least.

I apologize if these are already reported, know issue's or fixed in 7.2. Thanks for all your work.

So has anyone ditched CM7 for CM9? I am on LeWa 2.3.7 until Camera gets a more stable(er??) build of drivers..

WiFi Is Acting Very Strange. Yesterday I Connected To It & It Worked. But Now Today It Just Says "Obtaining Ip Address" & Then Disconnects.

i used thunderom got the phone making calls. but no 3g service. data is enabled in everyway i know. is this sprints problem?

First off, what does this have to do with cm7 or this rom. Second, thunderRom is WAY outdated and no longer supported. I would make sure you know your baseband (currently supported basebands are zvd and zvh), then choose a rom for it that is still supported.

While in that sprint rom, you need to update profiles and update prl. Make sure thunderrom is for zvd. I remember it was for zvc. But I could be wrong. If data doesn't work still,you need your msl,then dial ##72786##, this will get data and GPS.

i had to use thunderom to activate the phone. i gave it to my girl and i have been running cm7 since last summer and it wouldn't activate with cm7. now i flashed it back to cm7 and i have no 3g

After flashing the latest build, I lost my visable voicemail and MMS apears to not be working. Sprint keeps sending me messages asking if I bought a new device that doesn't allow MMS messages. Any sugestions?

In recovery, yes.

If gapps get funky (I don't think they do, but I have been flashing so many different things lately.......... )

If gapps get funky, flash them and then the vvmfix, then boot.
