I really want to try out this ROM since ZVJ update basically made this phone garbage. Anyhow, I'm reading through the instructions for installation and there is a step that I am having a hard time understanding:

When I get to this step, I get an empty page...any solutions?

It is a common file. Search the site and there should be one. I can link one when I get to a computer if need be. Have you reverted to VZD?

I will revert to ZVD. I am just reading through all of the instructions, so I understand what I have to do first. Found the file.

My kind of guy! Prepares beforehand to save shooting yourself in the foot.

Note there are two. Format SYSTEM and Format ALL.

Obviously System just formats /system.

Format ALL formats /system /boot /cache and /data. I use this one coming from a different ROM with excellent results/ I use it even in nanding back and forth between this CM7 and thekraven ICS alpha.

You can also format system under mounts and storage options within recovery without flashing that file

xionia recovery is infamously known for not being able to properly format the system partition, which is why the debug zip exists.

Everything good to go. I found that file just by googling it. I am truly amazed. So far this ROM just blows anything I've previously used out of the water. Thx to all who have worked so hard on this stuff.

Loving this ROM, about to install it on the GF's Opti S when she isn't looking if I can find a solid theme that I think she would like.

One bug that I have found with this ROM involves the call audio through the headphone jack when music is playing:
If I pause or stop Music playback, then make or receive a call with headphones in, no problem!
If, while listening to music, I make or receive a call, it stops the music, but does not send the call audio through the headphones. I am not sure if the handset mic works or not in these instances. I can remove the headphones and the call comes through the handset speaker just fine and the mic works.

I know this is minor, but it is important for those of us who travel and use their phones a lot. Thanks!

xionia recovery is infamously known for not being able to properly format the system partition, which is why the debug zip exists.

This is only half-true. Xionia properly formats the system partition when an Amend script tells it to, but not when an Edify script does.

I *believe* the standard formatting tools within Xionia do not suffer from this bug.

Im still using this ROM but for some reason google maps 6.8.1 still reboots the phone. Why does it reboot the phone?
Im going on a road trip in two weeks and I will be needing Google Maps. I do not want my phone to be rebooting every time I open up the app.

How can I fix this?

This was posted just above where you stated you were having problems on the previous page.

Looking at the Google maps 6.7 update comments, it's doing it to other phones too. Find or revert to an earlier version.

And this reply a little farther down.

I just cleared the maps cache, then uninstalled it.
Reinstalled the same last maps version 6.7.0 from google play, booted into recovery, cleared cache and dalvik, then ran fix permissions. so far 1 day with zero crashes when maps/gps is used.
Praying this would do it

There is a 3.9 version, that does not happen for me, and I listen to music and get calls often. Easiest way is to get it from thekraven files in the go.im app.

I tried what panasrsm did, but did not work for me.
Is it possible that because I have the data2ext mod, is this affecting google maps?

Did you downgrade to 6.7 like he did?

Your post above states differently, that you are on 6.8.1. You sure 6.7? I have no idea now, since 6.8.1 works for me on version 3.9a, and others revert to 6.7 and it works fine. Try deleting it, boot to recovery, clearn cache and dahlik, reboot and then restore app ONLY in Titanium Backup, NO data restore.

Edit: I had forgot to post back. Google Maps now works again. I did a clean install & flashed 3.9a and so far no rebooting.

That was my confusion, the first post said 6.8.1, then later you said you restored 6.7, and I was confused, my apologies.
