[ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 3/9 zvd only

Do you have another usb cable to try?

In Xionia recovery, Under Mounts and Storage, there should be a mount USB storage at the bottom of the list. This should trigger windows to view files.

Only major difference between the 11/20 build is the recompiled 3.3 kernel.

I tried that...but when I did it with Xionia, it disconnected from the computer, not connected it... Mine said "Unmount USB storage".

FM app doesn't work. Part of the CM7 apps that get installed with a full build.
Something I've been wondering, if the LG Optimus S doesn't have an FM radio, say like the Photon 4G, why does it matter if the app doesn't work?

Thanks so much guys! I completely uninstalled the driver and downloaded the one from LG's website and it worked this time.

It used to get built and included in Zefie's CM7 Roms. So that's just a disclaimer why it's not included. Sometimes I slip up and it gets built, then you get 20 post on why it doesn't work.

In the early days, it gave some hope for that it might one day work. The bluetooth radio supports it, but i think Blarf (IHO) said the FM part is disconnected internally. The Optimus One has it working.

I never saw the app in the stock rom.

For some reason either Sprint or LG decided not to include an FM tuner app in the Stock ROM even though the hardware is there. Maybe they didn't include it because if they advertised the presence of the FM radio functionality they would have had to include headphones with the phone since wired headphones are required for the FM radio to function.

hmm, I've used it before. I want to say it was an IHO release. Can't stand the commercials on radio stations, so it doesn't bug me either way. So it's not supported any longer? Used to ya just plug in your headphones an turn it on, an the headphone cable acted as the antennea

FM radio has NEVER worked on the Optimus S. I've used just about every CM7 build that has been released and it's never worked once.

Did you do a full wipe before installing this?

I had that issue after updating to the 12/8 barebones. I just booted into recovery and reflashed gapps.

I believe the FM stands for File Manager app - the one that lets you browse the phone/sdcard directories

NOT FM Radio app

Guys!!!!

thekraven wanted me to post on the forum.... if you are experiencing problems with the Tablet Tweeks settings in CM settings, there is a patch file in Downloads section of one of the first two posts... He is aware of the bugs and they are fixed with the 12/8 build. Please update to the latest version of thekraven's unofficial CM 7.

Thanks you guys!

And thank you, thekraven!

Can you sync contacts with wifi and no data?
I'm outta city and no service here. I have wifi, so flashed the latest 12-08 barebones and gapps.
I'm connected to wifi and signed into my gmail account, turned on the sync for contacts, calender and gmail. And yet I dont see any contacts? is that normal?

You might want to wipe everything and reinstall the rom.

Re: [ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 12-8-2011

I really think this topic needs to be included in the stickies!!! Which roms for which baseband version. Alot of people do not see or fail to read that using a rom on the wrong baseband WILL HAVE a bad outcome

Well, all threads with ROMs, including this one, state at the very beginning for which base band exactly...I don't think making a sticky will help, there's a huge caps "brick warning" for ROM Manager and yet that problem still pops up :confused::confused:
