I did a full wipe and also flashed debug-formatSYSTEM also.

I got my notification power widget re-ordered after a couple tries. It seemed like there was a window of a few minutes right after a reboot where I could make changes that would be persistent.

I had a similar issue, however it seems to have resolved itself after using titanium backup to restore some settings. Now I can change them whenever and they stick

That's odd becouze last night I had a problem with wifi coming back on after I had tried to turn it off , it stayed off after reboot tho.....

Hey thekraven - just updated my gf's Optimus S to 12.8.2011 7.2 full. I haven't flashed it since October 14, when the last CWM backup was taken - when I look under Settings -> About Phone, it says mod version is 12052011-CM7.1.01-IHO-KRAVEN and build number is GWK74 (12052011/LS670) - what gives? I doublechecked the zip on the SD card, it's "12.8.2011-CM7.2-IHO-Kraven.zip". Since I'm updating, I didn't wipe data - is that necessary? Everything else seems to be working great. I'm really confused as to why it's displaying this - don't really want to go thru the whole wipe/restore if I don't have to, but I understand if you want me to go thru those steps. The lockscreen theme changed, as did the boot animation... so something flashed correctly . Just found this strange, especially considering I haven't flashed anything in a while, perhaps it was just an oversight...? Just making sure. Thanks again! Great build.

That the internal build date. I usually release a few days later after a few days of testing.and patching. So 12/8 fixes a few things that I had to revert a couple cm updates that breaks things on our phones. I blame ice cream sandwiches too

There is a fresh 12 /11 build in the works. Testers should have it soon.

I tried and I cant get multimedia messages to send. I can receive them but when I send one it just says SNEDING.... and then comes up with a message that it couldnt be sent!

Ah, I see. I figured the build date maybe could be reused, was just surprised to see 7.1 when you said it was 7.2 . I look forward to the new build! She doesn't really let me touch the phone unless something's broken, so it might be a few more months. Seriously, your build is by far the most stable - way better than anything else, especially the 'stock'/stock-ish GB builds. Updated to the newer stuff and it all went to hell. Had to roll back to flash this, but totally worth it. Thanks again .

Having the same problems and tried the build prop flash as well just stuck at sending

It's a bit confusing, you have to revert that revert, then revert the previous revert. Easiest to just look at how we have it in BobZhome's and JerryScript's repos right now.

Also, I've created an optional centered status bar clock, as well as added the option to change it's color all in the CyanogenMod settings>>Interface>>Status bar tweeks menus. It gives the users the choice to center their clock or not. This will prevent overlay of notifications icons properly, but does not address system icons overlaying the clock, but there are options available to deal with that rare occurance such as hiding various system icons in the settings menus. Just make sure they are not data backups from Froyo or the official gingerbread. It depends what all you backup. The only system apps that data transfers ok was email, mms (but really you should use SMSbackup.). Browser bookmarks. There could be a few more, depends upon compatibility between saved settings and major changes in system apps.

Cmparts.apk, cm settings. Gmail, contacts all should sync by account sync. Gmail data backup via tb wiped my accounts before.

Try unchecking the google backup and restore options when you first set up your account and see if you have better results.

I've had better luck with google apps with the old market.

I just moved to an area that has marginal Sprint coverage. Verizon is pretty strong though. So I changed my cdma system select to affiliated networks. However, it won't stay roaming and keeps trying to stay on Sprint and it's killing my battery.

Is there some way to lock it in roam only? Unfortunately, Nick's app doesn't work on cm7.

I think the only way for that is to load the 11115.prl via QPST. It allows verizon towers

Love this ROM...has eliminated my frustration with this phone!

Couple of questions:

1) Is there a way to charge this phone while it is off or is that one of the features not yet supported?

2) Any chance you have the original Sprint boot animation? I neglected to back that up.

cm7 settings are not sticking in 12/8 build. I can't get my themes to stick, I can't reorder my notification widget, I can't turn on purge assets, anything like that. I can't change my keyboard or set my phone to allow installs. That aren't from the market

Cm7 will always boot the phone up when plugged in. That closest you can do is boot into recovery and charge. As for the sprint boot animation, I saw that post not long ago, try a search for it.
