[ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 3/9 zvd only

Re: [ROM] CM7.1 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 11-20-2011

Backup your CM7 and install a Sprint-based ROM as outlined in my previous posts; update your profile & PRL. Reboot and see if you can get a data connection.

If yes, problem solved: Do happy dance and stay with it or go back to CM7.

If no, revert to ZVD stock, update PRL and Profile, reboot and try for data connection. If it works, do happy dance, re-root and install custom ROM of your choice. If it doesn't take that puppy to your nearest corporate Sprint store and work something out with them.

well no luck with reborn rom. What can I flash to put it to stock VD and keep my recovery at least? Sprint store is out of the question, I work 14 hour days and when Im not working i am spending time with my brother while he is doing all his cancer treatments

You will need the stock ZVD recovery to do a complete factory wipe, including the radio. There are guides at the top of this forum. This step is also preemptive of a warranty or service plan claim with Sprint in the event that does not fix it, where you would need to have stock everything. If this portion doesn't run on stock ZVD, then it won't run on anything. If your phone is broken or the data plan for which you are paying is not available in your area, you should probably have a chat with them.

Finally got around to switching from Reborn and everything is working great so far. This is an awesome Rom, thanks for all the hard work.

im not sure if its rom related but after using the 12/6 my data speeds are horrible takes me a few minutes to send myself or anyone a 20kb image

Re: [ROM] CM7.1 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 11-20-2011

I found something in a Verizon CM7 build.prop
Would need someone to test this by adding these to the /system/build.prop file. Or pushing the attached file to the /system folder.

# NETWORK BASED PLUS CODE DIALING
# 0 disable
# 1 enable
ro.cdma.nbpcd=1

And the modded build.prop file build.prop

Did you ever get anyone to test this fix? I see it's included in the 12/6 build. I can confirm that my contacts with a 1-800 work now without having to remove the 1.

GREAT WORK! That was one of my annoyances the last time I was on a CM7 Rom

Flash it first, like you would with the ROM.

1.) Using the volume down button, choose "Install Zip from sdcard"
2.) Move down again and choose "choose zip from sdcard"
3.) Move down until you find Debug-FormatSYSTEM.zip and use the menu button to select it.
*You do not need to restart for each step after what is shown on the OP.

Went to ZVH but the battery life was utterly disappointing and phone got hot (though the roms themselves were pretty solid and fast) so i reverted to stock. I'm looking to use my phone as a hotspot a lot more often, so i need the all the toggles of this. I like all the previous versions of this, and i bet the 12/6 version will be all the more better. Waiting patiently for your upload, thank you for this rom

I think Ginger kernel might be the cause of the battery getting hot. Idk about battery life issues with the kernel but drew is a beast and I'm sure whatever issue you have with zvh will be resolved.

Flashed 12-6-11 Last Night. I Changed My System Theme To Cyanbread And Rebooted To Take Full Effect. Then The Theme Changed To The Original Gingerbread Theme . !

Which rom were you on before? Are you sending by Mms?

There's a few build prop edits that could be the culprit.

Re: [ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 11-20-2011

I Flashed Your 12-6 Build Last Night, Applied The Cyanbread Theme And Rebooted To Take Full Effect. But When I Checked It Was Still The Gingerbread Theme.

I just tested like you did and mine stayed cyanbread after a reboot.

Are the themes still on the phone memory or moved to the sdcard? Also how did you flash the rom? Or restored any system app settings by titanium backup? You may need to clear data on some of your apps via titanium backup.

Re: [ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 11-20-2011

The Themes Are Still On The Phone Memory. I Wiped All Data/Cache And Also Davlik Cache. I flashed rom first, than google apps , and rebooted . i havent restored anything from titanium backup at all
