Awesome cm9 on zvd? That will kick major arse lol be funny if kraven can pull off zvd version before zvh. Version is completed! Anyhow this is great! Cannot wait to try it out and get a feel for ics

Not gonna lie, CM9 is sexy as hell. Everything works on ZVD (calls/sms/mms/data) except camera funtions. Still wont play videos.

My results as well. My first look at CM9, like the setup with wifi connection first.

I've tested six different roms from both zvd and zvh basebands, and I have to say this is my most favorite rom of them all. I'm looking forward to testing a CM9 rom

This thread is fine. Make sure that you state cm9 in your posts. And I just ask that you don't clutter Drew's thread. I'd like to see cm9/cm7
worked out for zvh.

This is just a testing phase / feeler of cm9 for me. It takes way too long to build on my computer ~3 hours vs 45 minutes for cm7. Not that fun when it doesn't work after waiting that long.

I have server access thanks to LeslieAnn, so we'll see.

You won't get camera working without some serious hacking and back porting. Just have a lookout for phones the same camera, p500,e510... It will need kernel changes & a HAL camera driver built specific to thunderc board (our phones) .then a camera.apk built with that driver.

Well, finally gave up on hydro and returned to cm7. Good lord this rom really is the best in my book. In every way for me it is snappier and smoother. I flashed the 2/7 barebones, no issues what so ever. With all the talk on cm9, I decided to go with an ics theme!

Kraven, what would be required to get YouTube to work, or other videos like that?

I also wonder if BobZhome will be working on kernels. He does an amazing job.

To get rid of the red rectangle in cm9 , try dev tools > developmetn settings > strictmode visual indicator off.

Is it ok to do a dirty flash (wipe cache and davlik) to upgrade from 01/16 to 02/07 ?

On cm9 wifi works 100% of the time. Data on the other hand ( for me) works sometimes. It will randomly go off. Turning airplane mode on then off will bring it back sometimes.
Texting worked, but I was unable to send any pictures.

I've been dirty flashing every version since late last year without any issues. It's probably not the most recommended, but that's why I always keep lots of backups. Here's how I've been doing it, not sure if it's all required, but it works.

1. Wipe Cache
2. Wipe Dalvik-Cache
3. Format boot
4. Format system
5. Flash the Debug-FormatSystem zip
6. Flash ROM
7. Flash Gapps

Not a single problem so far, and I've gone through 6 or 7 updates I think.

I haven't really had data working yet either, but I believe you need it to send MMS so that's why you are unable to do so

CM9 users: if having trouble getting data to work try this:

Toggle Airplane mode On, then Off,

Then, under settings, toggle data enabled off, then on.
This should change your signal bar to blue (signifying a sync w google), and restore full data services.
