[ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 3/9 zvd only

which Rom are you using? The 9/25 or 9/27? I updated the centerclock patch for the 9/27 Roms last night. The frameworks changed a lot in those two builds, so a new centerclock patch was needed. I have it working on ADW on the 9/27 build. Testing out the Cotton Candy theme.

ThekRaven by Egger Allen No

The clock struck midnight
And through my sleeping
I heard a beeping on my floor
I looked but nothing lay in the inbox
And so I returned online once more

To my amazement
There stood a ROM
Where nothing hung or ran poor
Then through the forums
It spoke those words
that I shall hear forever more

Heres Some More
Thus quoth thekraven, Here's some more

Thanks man, love all the updates, keep em comin...your work is appreciated.

lul! that was very clever NEVERMORE!

Oh and I think we should go with the name originaly pitched by my man on3 ^^ which was ROMnNoodles :P i love curry!

The 9/25 builds already have the latest iho bzhomes 3.1 kernel. But you are free to try the different offerings. You just copy the kernel zip to your sdcard, and flash in recovery.

You could at least spell my scene name right ;)

Sorry for that. Corrected .

I've been living at 864 MHz without any reboots for about 5 days. Great job on the kernel.

I'm going to switch to this rom next time I have a day off work. Kraven you should see about adding OTA updates like zefie did, I still have yet to see how that works, and it would be great since this ROM has frequent updates. Anyway keep up the good work.

Zefie didn't add OTA updates, I did :p

@thekraven: Shoot me a PM and I'll show you how "OTA" updates work. It's pretty simple once you've done it once or twice.

I love the dev community in AC. Thanks guys, we are lucky to have you here.

The centerclock fix also has support for transparent CM7 themes. This is the MIUI and MEIZU ones, mixed with Minimalistic Black ADW icons. If you go back to a nontransparent theme, remember to reboot and the status bar should fix itself.

I've been running 864mhz for two days without a reboot. Been doing everything I can think of to get it to reboot. Hasn't worked yet lol. Very impressed with everything.

Re: [ROM][WIP] CM7 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 9-27-2011

Still new to rooting but I am currently using the 9-22 kraven rom and am about to update to the 9-27 kraven rom. I see that it includes a new kernel. Does this install when I update the rom or is it a separate installation? If it is separate how do I go about doing it? Thanks!

Re: [ROM][WIP] CM7 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 9-27-2011

it's all packaged together in the 9/27 rom zip. Make a nandroid backup, just in case. Then remember to wipe cache and dalvik cache before flashing the rom. Then flash the google Apps zip and reboot.

If there are any problems, then try a full wipe in recovery.

Sorry if this is redundant but is this better than drewaltons and does it haveany major bugs?

Well, wi-fi tethering works. From what I remember, it was still broken in drew's latest build. If I'm wrong, forgive me.

The new kernel in this version has newer CPU management options, and they're pretty kickass at managing battery usage.

Those are the big things I noticed so far as an end-user.

GPS, and Bluetooth are fixed. Call volume is a lot better. Only bugs so far are native USB tethering and PRL updates. But with that, i'll have an official stable build soon. The 9/25 and 9/27 are stable builds. Still waiting on feedback on a few things. I update this one whenever there is a bug fix or a new CM7 feature pops up.

Just give it a try. You can easily make a nandroid backup of your current setup and go back to it.
