[ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 3/9 zvd only

Awesome rom.y phone flys with the kernel you have. Best rom in my opinion. Only thing I've encountered was with the crunchyroll application (to be fair im not sure if it is the rom or the application) but it shows black lines in the video. YouTube and downloaded videos using mvideoplayer and mobo work fine. I tried taking a screenshot but it came out black. Keep up the great work and constant updates :)

See if 180 degrees is checked in Settings>cyanogenmod settings>display

All boxes were selected, but i un/re checked everything and seems to work fine now.

Seems like all my CM Settings and wallpaper and stuff are carried over from one install to another, I think by my google account, but everything looks and acts like the default settings. Even tho my settings are highlighted, they dont take effect until i go threw and actually select them. weird.

Been testing a 2.3.7 release. Notable change is that I sized the ring bubble lock for a better size for our screen.

I've been testing the lastest release. IHO started using Optimus S Gingerbread parts in this release, so it's a step forward, but creates problems that worked fine before. It is Android 2.3.7.

BobZhome's 3.1 kernel is still included, but seems a little laggy. But settles down after a few hours and a reboot once you get your settings dialed in. I guess give it a try and see. So i am releasing this one as an experimental build. So give me feedback of what needs work.

EDIT: The lag was the market automatically restoring my apps in the background.

Drew's Gingerkernel v4 works really well if you want give it a try. The accelerometer is better and GPS locks almost immediately. Bugs with this kernel are the camera has a negative effect and after waking the screen with buttons, you have to tap it once to fully wake.

Here is experimental build 10.1.2011. You can always go back to the stable builds 9-27 and 9-29.

hey kraven, the CM7 status bar patcher also allows for the operator name to be shown. any chance you could put together a flashable zip with that for this rom?

Running 2.3.7 at the moment! Seems fine so far. Great job! Thanks! Also I'm running 825mhz/600mhz on interactiveX.

I noticed when I used the center clock patch, then changed my theme through cm7 theme chooser that my status bar was all black? Then when I flashed the undo zip it went back to normal.

You have to uncheck "wallpaper hack" in ADW settings>System Preferences to make it clear. And use a themes that have a transparent status bar. From what I read the other launchers the transparency doesn't work.

He said if you use multipicture live wallpaper from the Market, it should work for all launchers.

for the record GO Launcher EX also supports transparency. You have to enable "high quality drawing" from the settings.

I see the operator name option, but I don't see
where to input or change anything. I'll do more digging around.

2.3.7 Not complaining but just informing..

Keep losing background sync every 10-20 mins... Which lead to me not getting push notifications...

While using integrated Wifi Hotspot Data stops working for about 10-20 mins only turning hotspot off then back on brings it back...

What ROM where you using prior to this? Just trying to backtrack the problem.

I'll have a look at what changed. Maybe DHCP settings.

Re: [ROM][WIP] CM7 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 9-29-2011

On the 9-29 build. I'm having trouble downloading apps from the market. I keep getting the message that there is insufficient space but if I check my internal space there is 113 mb. For the record, the market is not installed on the SD card. Any thoughts?

Before this rom I was on drew but I always do a full format "Always!!!" I'm also getting Market FC but I'm not on the 2.3.7 anymore just your original rom..

Idk about the wifi issue but freeze your other keyboard with titanium backup. That should work!

I'm trying to recreate the low memory problem.
Two things to try. See if this fixes it first. If not do the second option.

1.Try wiping the market date in Settings>Applications>Manage applications under the "all" tab, choose Market, then clear data

2. Currently testing this on. This installs the latest google apps. http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip . Boot into recovery, wipe cache, then install the zip file, and reboot.

Which ROM did you install?
Which keyboard are you using and how did you install it?

What steps did you take to install? Like did you do all the data wipes in recovery? Boot, system, data, and Cache?

Next, if you restored your keyboard with titanium backup, Choose Restore App only. You have to reset permission depending on which keyboard you are using.

First method had no success. I downloaded the new google apps but it seems I cant get it onto my sd card as the phone hangs when trying to turn on usb storage. After about 50 seconds the phone reboots. I had this problem on this previous build and figured that installing the 9-29 would fix it. I know this is a secondary problem but any thoughts? Thanks.
