I had the same problem with stock mms/sms.So I downloaded go sms and everything works sms/ pics/ images

Had a memory lapse. THe settings in Recovery to see if it mounts is 'mount USB storage'

ok dumb question....does the center clock/transparent mod get rid of the status bar completely? can i turn it back on? or do i need to flash the undo?

Is anyone having issues with not being able to download pictures sent in MMS messages?

I can send SMS & MMS messages with pics

I can receive SMS just fine and I can receive the MMS alert with the 'download' button.

But for some reason, when I click download, it just thinks and can't receive the image.

Not really an issue for me as I can always check pictures.sprintpcs.com to check the pic out.

Just wondering if its just me.

The center clock mod moves items in the status bar around. It only becomes transparent if you use a theme that supports transparency.

Kraven....an update.

1) Tried a new usb cable and port on the original pc and had no luck. Even with new gingerbread drivers.
2) Tried with new and old usb cable on another pc and it worked on the second try.
3) I do not see a mount usb option in my custom recovery. I am using the xionia clockwork recovery I believe?

Since I now know its not a ROM problem but is instead a problem with my current pc I don't want to go off topic anymore in this thread. Do you have any final thoughts on where I should go from here?

Scratch that it finally worked on the fifth reboot! Any reason why this works only occasionally?

In cwm recovery the sd mount option is under "mounts"Where you format system data etc...it's the last option. And when I mount sd threw the ROM I have to leave USB debugging ON.

i am having the same problem with usb mass storage recognition. works on drews cm7, any froyo rom, just not this one. i know the cable is good. any suggestions?

Trying to track down that problem. Go to settings/storage then click unmount sdcard, then click mount sdcard, and see if you get any normal usb notifications.

Edit: You can go back to using his Xionia Redux with the 9/29 rom. Flash this in recovery and see if the USB problems still occur.

If you want to use Drew's GingerKernel V5.1, make sure you turn off CM7 screen on/off animations in Settings>CyanogenMod Settings>Display, and uncheck both Screen-on and Screen-off animations. Otherwise waking the screen from idle won't work. Do that before flashing Drew's GingerKernel V5.1

You will notice that GPS locks on fast, transitions and menus flow smoother. I'm still testing other part of CM7 with it. Camera app doesn't like it.

Ive been playing with Gingerkernel5.1 but it seems to have weird screen effects. a 1/4 of an inch of the bottom shows at the top and at times the left 1/2 inch to inch of the right shows on the left.Id show pics but it doesnt show up in a screen shot (makes sense). donno if its me or the kernel, wasnt a clean install, had been running the 9/29 version for a bit but formated cache. also installed a new 8gb class 10 SDcard (20 bucks at best buy of all places) but copied my old one to it.

That kernel has issues with my phone also! Zvh kernel running with zvd is not working well at all. Iho v3.1 seems to be working a lot better on my phone.

Thanks for the ROM! This is really cool! I was having trouble rooting ZVH so I installed this ROM and now I have Android 2.3.5! The added features are neat too! I have one question though. I couldn't install the Meizu transparent theme in recovery. Forgot what the error message was but it was missing a signature or something. How do I fix this? I'm having the 9/29 ROM. Thanks for the good work!

I just went thru the USB not reading my phone on a vista laptop. Ended up being my blackberry usb cord was bad. I installed the new LG USB drivers. That didnt work till i found my LG cord

I am looking at cm7 USB problems.

I just installed another transparent theme and I had to unzip. Next time will look more carefully for the instructions.
