Synced with IHO and CM7 as of 10-4
CM 7.1
Android 2.3.7
IHO-BobZhome's 3.1 Kernel
Resized ring bubbles in the lock screen
A 16bpp option under performance menu provides faster/smoother interface
Superuser 3.0
The accelerometer is working better.

More indepth 7.1 changelogs here: https://raw.github.com/CyanogenMod/android_vendor_cyanogen/gingerbread/CHANGELOG.mkdn.
Most features are included some we don't support just yet.

I'll put up a new centerclock patch for this build.

Re: [ROM][WIP] CM7 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 10-05-2011

I'd like to take the time and give thanks for a cm7 build for the Optimus.

I am using this phone before an upgrade as it fell in my lap after using a Hero for almost 2 years. I'm new to the Optimus, but not rooting, and being able to use the same rom helped the transition.

I'm damned impressed with this phone, rooting was easy (though the Hero is really easy) and it flies. OC to the Max and its pretty stable.

Ill probably flash 10/5 today and hopefully it'll go smoothly flashing over my 9/29 as everything has gone without a hitch thus far.

Just be sure to wipe cache and delvak before flashing if any problems do a full wipe In mounts also

Ya. Not fun with doing a mobile update (not at a PC to so proper backups)

Using apps2sd on a 512 partition and when I wipe dalvik apps lose a part of their link and show installed but with a missing icon icon and don't work. Now just flashing the rom and adding the apps2sd script I have most my apps (Goggles and 2 minor apps broke) but no market love.

May just have to nandroid back until later. Copying over vending.apk and clearing data didn't save it. Then flashing gapps makes me log into Google again and using 2 step authentication requires me to have PC access.

Oh well, just gotta wait until tonight.

I just flashed this update working good so far no laggs or anything flashed fine everthing seems smooth and quick

Re: [ROM][WIP] CM7 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 10-05-2011

I tried installing 10-05 build over 9-27 build

I did wipe cache/dalvik-cache and then flashed 10-05

Booted up, but would not get into the Rom all the way - restored nandroid backup

I'll try a fresh flash of 10-05 this weekend after I wipe everything.

============

By the way, ever since I've been running the 3.1 kernel by BobZHome,
my phone has been running rock-solid and ready for pleasure @ 825mhz

I've had problems getting the kravens roms to boot also without wiping. Its kind of annoying having to factory reset but it takes less than 30 minutes to restore.

Installed the latest ROM and it works great! Thanks!

Just installed the latest update. Wiped cache and dalvic only, booted fine. Works awesome.

I agree the kravens rom and Bob zhome's kernel are a pretty good combo. I mean drew's work is really good on cm7 but my phone has never run so smooth. Great work guys couldn't be more pleased. Thank you both again!

Seriously, it has always bothered me just a little bit that I couldn't get the app drawer to scroll smoothly, until this version. I'm not sure if it's new or what but I turned on the 16bit transparency, OC'd to 768 and changed governer to smartassv2 and I have finally got my phone working exactly how I want it. It's amazing what you can achieve with cheap hardware and awesome people like kraven, drew, breezy and all the other ROM developers. A thousand thanks to you all.

Re: [ROM][WIP] CM7 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 10-05-2011

Agreed have tried all cm7 rom's and the kernal kraven rom is the smoothest snappiest and overall most stable cm7 port! Hell im staying with zvd and cm7 port over the stock gingerbread! Thanks to all who have rommed for the optimus s! From drew to kraven to Bob and zeefey, and anybody else who's name I forgot and have contributed! Thanks for making this phone rock!!!

Re: [ROM][WIP] CM7 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 10-05-2011

Silly question here. How do I change the look of the sms app? I used to use Go SMS but I don't wanna install a lot of apps anymore. Is there a way I can change the theme or appearance without having to use another app? Thanks!

Re: [ROM][WIP] CM7 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 10-05-2011

The native SMS app has an option to change to a black background instead of white.

Re: [ROM][WIP] CM7 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 10-05-2011

Figured somebody knew this but the Bobz kernel included in this rom doesn't allow for connection with QPST or CDMA Workshop...

Thanks! Found it. The look isn't great but I think it's better than the white.

Re: [ROM][WIP] CM7 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 10-05-2011

For sure the black looks alot better then the white lol IMO! And also more space! Important to me as I do not have data to SD running and need as much space as possible

Yeah that's the kernel. Going thru their posts, QPST should work in recovery. I'm looking at what needs to be changed with the IHO-BobZhomes kernel.

Xionia Redux would solve that, but i'd need to make a keypad correction.
