[ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 3/9 zvd only

Re: [ROM] CM7.1 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 11-03-2011

Check the download section for 11/03 ICS patches. You may have to use Achep version 7 or below themes. The later ones have black letters on black, so it's hard to see.

BTW, not sure if you've figured out the goggles problem or not, but it also affects vignette, don't know if that could help you find the problem.

Thanks, mrg666 posted the fix for me. I'll try to get the fix out today

Re: [ROM] CM7.1 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 11-03-2011

What's the best way to update this ROM? I'm probably close to a month behind on updates! Reflash? Do I need to clear data?

Re: [ROM] CM7.1 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 11-03-2011

Backup your apps with titanium backup. Backup your sms with sms backup. Nandroid your current setup in recovery. I do recommend a full wipe of data, cache, boot, and system. But you can attempt a flash over your current cm7 setup with a cache and dalvik cache wipe. I'd even flash the debug system zip file also. Flash the latest cm7 build. And then flash gapps then reboot. If you get force closures you will need to do all the data wipes.

ive already got those patches flashed on mine. they still look the same

Have you turned on
16 bit transparency in cm settings, under performance? And reboot after that. I'd suggest a cache wipe too in recovery. I am using his transparency version

maybe I misunderstood. In settings, cm settings, interface, notification power widget. Choose hide indicator or pick a different color. Then choose widget buttons. I could be using his earlier ics themes, he said he went to better resolution graphics

thank you! that was one of the biggest things bothering me because the buttons were green when everything else was blue. but one more thing. on notifications, like when you get a text and you pull down the notification bar, yours has a black backround behind it, like in the second picture on page 72, mine shows up like the first picture?

Re: [ROM] CM7.1 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 11-03-2011

are notifications showing at all in the drop down? Disable the wallpaper hack in adw settings?

You might try that other ics theme for mdpi version 1.4 or 1.5

Well I am downloading the 11-2 Barebones. is that the current barebones I couldn't locate an 11-3 barebones. Imconfused the buildprop in this zip says 10042011

Re: [ROM] CM7.1 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 11-03-2011

I linked the wrong file and fixed it I think. But hang on for about 30 minutes. I'm uploading a 11/7 build that fixes the barcode scanner. Plus a barebones too. Yeah. 11/2 was the latest.

Re: [ROM] CM7.1 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 11-03-2011

  • Latest IHO-CM7 Build: 11.7.2011-CM7.1-IHO-Kraven.zip
Fixes market app barcode apps and Goggles.
  • Same features as 11-3 builds

    Barebones : 11.07.2011-Barebones-CM7.1-IHO-Kraven.zip
  • 2a35131b4e5b6fc4ba8c249d06e1978a
  • New market 3.3.11 Gapps. Testing.. stay with latest official 8/28/2011
ANd if you are on 11/3 builds and just want the fixes. Just flash this in recovery.
UPDATE: Version 2 has less files needed to update, hope this fixes some incompatible apps when applied.
Fixed files for users of 11/03 builds. Just flash this and it will be the same as 11/7 builds.
  • VERSION 2 http://www.mediafire.com/?rdjvv3tnzilyrf2
  • NOTE: will reverse any centerclock , transparency patch, and ICS patches. So you will need new 11/7 versions.
  • I tested it and it upgraded with no problems. But do a cache wipe prior to flashing.
Center clock and transparency patches are the same from 11/3. So they will work. The ICS patches will need to be made though.

Somehow, my email client (touchdown) stopped working after applying the patch over 11/03, I am not able to pass the password screen of the application. to me, email is more important then bar-code scanner.
I am going to first try the 11/07 full or revert back to 11/03.

Applied the patches with no problems. Thanks!

try clearing the program cache and defaults in settings, application options. Or try reinstalling touchdown

Re: [ROM] CM7.1 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 11-07-2011

Im kind of new to this whole "technology" thing so pardon my terminology.. So.. Yesterday evening i flashed the cm7.1 (full) rom to my device, very quick, simple, no problems what so ever (I feel like i must add this is by FAR my favorite rom for this device) A few minutes ago, my phone died. So i plugged it into the charger. The hard keys lit up, lcd came on, the phone started to boot, then it shut off.. It continued to try to turn itself on, each time with the lcd staying on less and less. then, only the hard keys would blink on and off. i tried different chargers, replacing the battery, nothing.. the battery was so drained, without the charger plugged in the hard keys wouldn?t even power on.. Seeing as the problem was the battery being too low, i cut my chargers cable, attached the wires to the battery accordingly, then i waited about 30 seconds. i put the battery back in the phone, plugged the phone into the charger, and it booted up just fine. my phone is now charging, but it did stay at 1% for a abnormal amount of time (15 minutes or so..) At first i was seeking help but as i was writing this, apparently i solved my problem. hopefully someone might find this useful. might i suggest some sort of safeguard? i know the stock version of this phone wont try to boot if the battery is too low, is there any way of getting that back? for now ill avoid draining my battery. Anyway, thank you so much for your time and for all the amazing work being done!

Sincerely-
M.C.
