[ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 3/9 zvd only

Re: [ROM] CM7.1 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 11-20-2011

That third picture sure looks like there are more than one option for the focus to select?
That in the works?

No, it's the CM7 arrows that look out of place. There's really not a function, just a pressed graphic change.

I'm lazy so I'm just using the latest version of widgetlocker for the lockscreen :P Like the new ICS style.

(Used the android screen cast for the screenshot and the images look misshaped... Looks good on the phone though)

Is there an ICS theme with a vertical battery icon that also shows percentage? The only one I saw was for HDPI devices or MIUI ROM, I don't remember...

I use UOT kitchen for different battery styles. You can either upload your framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk or a themechooser apk. Make sure to check MDPI and use old append style if you want to make it flashable. UOT Kitchen

Here's the latest BobZhome's IHO 3.3 kernel recompiled using a newer toolchain (4.4.3 -> Linaro 4.5-2011.10). Thanks to BobZhome and Mrg666 for the update. BobZhome_kernel33_gcc452.zip I haven't tested it enough to see a difference. But will be included in future builds.

The two boot animations in the OP, are those the only two that work properly for the Optimus S? I tried the BIOS Boot animation, it will play but the edges get cut off because the resolution is higher (480x800), and editing the text file doesn't work, because that will cause it to not play at all.

Hi, thekraven!

Thanks for putting together such a great ROM for Optimus S zvd users. It's really quite slick, and I appreciate all your hard work.

There is one issue I've been having that's making me go back to a Froyo-based ROM. For some reason, it takes quite a while for streaming audio to start playing -- around 20-30 secs. With Froyo-based ROMs (stock, sROM, Reborn), streaming audio takes less than 10 secs to start playing. This can easily be tested by installing the "TWiT Play" app from the market, opening the app, and hitting the play button.

If you have any idea what could be causing this, I would greatly appreciate your input. I've tried using different kernels with no luck. I started a discussion about this in the thread below, but I thought I should post in this thread to see if you had any thoughts.

Re: [ROM] CM7.1 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 11-20-2011

I have been having an issue on the 11/20 build.

I cannot send/receive MMS messages. I applied the VVM fix for Sprint and that is working great, but I just can't get picture mails.

Any thoughts?

Did you uninstall the stock Mms.apk? Are you using another sms app?

Yes, I removed the stock MMS.apk as the instructions stated, as well as flashed the VVM fix from the first page.

No other SMS/MMS app on the phone.

Thanks!

The only thing i could see is the stagefright options that Froyo based roms use. There is a compromise with using hardware vs. software in CM7. Some settings made Youtube and videos have green banding. I'll look into seeing if any of the stagefright settings work with CM7.

The only thing the kernals would help with is when your screen goes to sleep and the governor drops the CPU performance to save battery. Interactive would help if you get choppy audio while streaming.

This one is faster but buggy, just wait for the play button. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.TwitForAndroid&feature=also_installed
