[ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9+Paranoid Android LS670 11/20 ZVD basesband Alpha19

Re: [ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9 Sprint LS670 6/20 ZVD basesband Alpha15

ignore me if this is the wrong place or it has been answered.
I flashed 15d via cannibal 1.1 yesterday. everything was awesome! Woke up today, and cant get a good sync status. As in, my data signal never goes blue. it is staying grey.
I have rebooted a few times. Turned wi-fi on and off. Turned Airplane mode on and off. Turned data on and off. All to no avail. Tried to find the right thing with dev tools. but, couldn't see what i was looking for.
If there is something I missed, can anyone point me towards the right place?
Other than that issue, this is great! haven't had the dreaded disappearing text issue! Which was the only problem i ever had with 11.
Thanks in Advance!

That happen to me a couple of months back, I think the issue is with Virgin Mobile, the only way i was able to fix it was install the stock ROM and activate the phone a couple of times. Then I installed the ROM back again

Re: [ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9 Sprint LS670 6/20 ZVD basesband Alpha15

I did add google account and everything worked good yesterday. I did restore from TI. from 11d. Maybe that is my issue?
It was a clean install. At least, it was before I restored with TI,smh. I never learn...
What about this gapps fixer?

I am still having data issues. Full clean wipe and install of a15d, gapps, and apps from market/play. I had trouble with a dirty flash, so started clean. Today is the first day in a couple that I am in an area of good 3g (home is poor 1xrtt).

I'm restoring a nand of CM7 to see if it is a local network issue that I did not know about. (I live on the west coast in a really small town, beautiful, but wireless services are minimal.)

Re: [ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9 Sprint LS670 6/20 ZVD basesband Alpha15

the data is there and it is working. Just not syncing properly with google. I.e. no blue data bars/wifi icon...

Re: [ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9 Sprint LS670 6/20 ZVD basesband Alpha15

wiped framework data and that fixed it.
Hopefully that doesn't create any other issues...

Try turning off that line in the build.prop that fixed data in past alphas. Buddlespit noticed some data increases in his area.

change to
Code:
#ro.telephony.ril.v3=signalstrength,skipbrokendatacall,facilitylock,datacall,icccardstatus,1

I just noticed that on a15e with a fresh install, inside the native app manager my used space is in the negatives:

Humph!

Reborn, your CM7, quattrimus all get 3g, and quattrimus will keep 3g going in to known weaker signal area, where the other two drop back to 1xrt.

The build.prop mod made CAI worse, with the 1xrtt flashing in and out, and I could not get a web browser, tapatalk, or send an email. Ugh.

edit

Looking deeper, the same line in quattrimus

Code:
ro.telephony.ril.v3=signalstrength,skipbrokendatacall,facilitylock,datacall,icccardstatus,1

Must be real difference in build.prop, based on size (but you likely know that)

Code:
CAI before edit
C:\>adb pull /system/build.prop c:\
395 KB/s (6325 bytes in 0.015s)

CAI after edit
C:\>ADB push c:\build.prop /system/
395 KB/s (6326 bytes in 0.015s)

quattrimus
C:\>adb pull /system/build.prop c:\
131 KB/s (6305 bytes in 0.046s)

Could be linaro, I've been trying to track down some bugs associated with it.

ROM: COLD AS ICE-CM9 Alpha 15d
Kernel: ICS CAI test16
Recovery: Cannibal v1.1
Phone: Optimus S LS670 (Sprint) ZVD

Hey guys I use Google Voice and I noticed that when I receive text messages while my phone is on standby that I only get notified when I start using my phone. Often times I find out I received a text message 30 minutes to an hour after it was sent. Background data is enabled for the app as well as in settings. Right now I just received a text message 7 minutes after it was sent

I've noticed this happens with wifi only. Often times when I go out of range of a wifi connection and 3g enables I'll get a slew of messages sent.

Any ideas on how to shorten the time it takes to check sync the inbox?

Thanks :)

Thanks for the work.

Living dangerous, and I do not have a simple way to see the difference in CAI a15d build.prop and the one from tdm b1p3, so I just pulled the one from b1p3 and pushed it to a15d. Living dangerous, but I have plenty of nands.

It works! This is going from outside strong 3g to inside where everything else except b1p3 drops back to 1xrtt. Go figure. Wonder what else I broke? :D Letting it sit for awhile to see if it will still drop to deep sleep. (fingers crossed)

Re: [ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9 Sprint LS670 6/20 ZVD basesband Alpha15

I compared them, quattrimus has these two stock lines, that overwrite the supercharger lines that proceed it. I know results vary with people.

ro.ril.hsxpa=1
ro.ril.gprsclass=10

This is the effect of an A2SD script. Mine's the same way.

You may also notice app/phone lag. I stopped using a2sd scripts because the lag would get pretty bad, and I have a class 10 card.

Dang, homework! ;)
I'll search to find out what that really means.
So the b1p3 build.prop pushed to CAI makes 3g work really well, but breaks deep sleep.

Speaking of break. The assert values in a15e don't work in drew's Cannibal 1.1

Here is what they should be.
Code:
ro.product.device: thunderc_LS670
ro.build.product: thunderc_LS670
