[ROM][GINGERBREAD] CyanogenMOD 7 Nightly Builds.

What's the google apps add on that is listed on CM7's main download page?

Google Apps, or Gapps, must be flashed after flashing the ROM. Otherwise you will not have essential apps such as the Android Market or Gmail. Also, if you do have a Thunderbolt, this thread will be completely useless to you, as the ROM in this thread for the Incredible only. Unfortunately (for you), CM7 is not currently available for the T-Bolt. I suggest you, and any newcomers to this thread read the entire OP, and at least the first 2 pages of this thread. Most common questions have been answered there.

Cool thanks, I do have a thunderbolt but my GF has my old Dinc and I'm trying to get a few ROMs for her to try out.

And now that the final build is out, here's my question:

Does the final build have 720p video recording?

TOP O THE MORNING (well it is here in Florida).... I woke up and forgot that 7.0 nightlies no longer exists, kind of a wierd feeling.... Not really though :) hope you all enjoy the stable release. I know I slept better knowing that my phone wont explode, now that it's stable...

I vote that anyone who asks a question that is answered in the OP, get smacked with a fish. Or just goes unanswered. Either way works.

Or we could reply with a cryptic and vaguely insulting answer. I vote "OPDA" as the response of choice.

Cool finally cm7 stable. But I feel they shoulda slapped stable on after they add 720p. Cuz I'm my mind my 720 is not 'stable' then neither is this rom... yes I understand everything works. And their deffinition of stable and mine are different.

Can't wait to flash!!

If only it was as simple as just 'adding' 720p. CyanogenMod is available on a plethora of devices, and once they decide that the majority of devices are bug-free, and they have added all of their features, we get the final 'Stable' build. I don't know how many of you remember CM6 'Stable', but it was not stable at all! Rebooted multiple times a day, it was a mess. It had 720p though! Personally, I would rather have a completely stable ROM without 720p, than an absolutely unstable ROM with 720p. If HTC gives the Dinc an official Gingerbread release, then I'm sure we will see 720p on CM7.1 or CM7.2. Until then, it just is not possible.

OK so a full day on 7.0 stable and it was a full day indeed. GPS no issues, BT no issues, Calling no issues, apps and data no issues. I think the only thing I didn't use today was Wireless Tether.

Same here! However I did use wireless tether and it worked flawlessly as did all the other things too:-) I am having trouble with 1 application, but it is not for this thread so I will post it somewhere else and see if I Can get some assistance. Kind of ironic, I can root my phone and help others do crazy things with their phones however I cant correctly work a podcast application

Is there any chance that there is an optional DL for Verizon backup assit?
Yes I know, people say you dont need it. I do export my phone contacts to my sd card. The pain is when I flash and import my phone contacts back I need to manually go through 160 phone contacts and put them back into 3 differant folders,(work, family, friends) I also need to setup my favorite contacts as well. this takes awhile, actually takes longer then the rest of a new flash setup. With backup assit, it puts everything back they way it was with no need to spend an hour doing the above mentioned.

Im also wondering, I cant find the widgets for bluetooth, gps, data on/off. Im thinking they were a sense widget so they are not in this rom. I did find that all in one widget but I dont like how it looks. Any alternete widget ideas to turn on/off data, bluetooth and gps?

By know you can see I have been a sense fan, and really love sense 2.0 but I wanted to see what this rom has to offer.

When I turn on my wifi connection, I see a pop up that says "statistics opted in" What is that?

Thanks for any help,
Dev's thanks for all your hard work, If it wasn't for you guys all of us would be on stock rom bordum

I know what you mean - I resisted moving my contacts to gmail for the longest time but re-setting them up after every full wipe finally wore me down. Gmail does a good and painless job of restoring contacts.

For power widgets... look in the pull down menu, they are all there and if the one you want is not there you can add it under CyanogenMod settings. I gave up the power widget and individual widgets after using this. It's on every screen and always available.

Not sure what you mean by "moving my contacts to gmail" do you mean when I export contacts to sd, export as gmail not phone? I just looked, this rom does not give you the option to export phone only contacts, Thats going to be a huge issue for me.

I would think it wouldn't be a huge deal to have a optional backup assit, I mean if the dev's can put a fine tuned rom like this together, they should be able to snap the fingers and have an optional backup assit dl for those who prefer

Use the export you made before and then you can import them into gmail. They will sync automatically, then you can arrange them as you like either on the phone or on the web (which is sometimes easier).

I've never tried to export contacts out of CM7 - I'll have to take a look.

EDIT: I just looked and the only option I have is export contacts, it does not specify phone or gmail. I don't have any phone contacts at the moment. Are you seeing the option?
