[ROM][GINGERBREAD] CyanogenMOD 7 Nightly Builds.

I went from 7.0.3 stable to nightly 99, and now my wifi cycles every 30-45 seconds. I did turn off the "sleep" thing in advanced. Hoping I don't have to go back to 7.0.3...

I'm on nightly 99. I have wifi on 100% of the time and haven't had any problems. You might want to give Incredikernel a try, I've heard it's solved other people's wifi issues on the nightlies.

Try wiping Dalvik and Cache and re-loading 99 and see if that fixes it. I've been running the Stock Kernel for ages and have had no Wi-Fi issues.

Yes, Incredikernel beta 8 solved the wifi issue. Posted it on cyanogen's forum too so they're aware that there is something wifi-wonky with their embedded kernel. Thanks again for the timely replies everyone :)

p.s. I did do the cache/darvik wipe and reinstalled nightly 99 first and the wifi issue was still there, then installed incredikernel and rebooted and it fixed it.

Happy to help. Glad your issue got solved.

Finally got around to flashing 100 tonight and it appears that the Wi-Fi cycling is still there. :(

That's odd. I'm on Wifi 100% of the time and I've never had any problems. The last version of CM7 that gave me Wifi trouble was RC1.

100 lets go.

I will have to flash this tomorrow (been slackin lately).

Some say, Stig's motorcycle helmet shows him glimpses of the future with Ice Cream Sandwich... other say, his github is actually a facebook for Artifically enhanced Tamagachi devices that have evolved into deadly robots... All we know is, he's called the stig!

im so lame

Yeah - I've not had any problems with it lately either - could be my AP needs a reboot. I'll play with it today.

I just started flashing the nightlies and I have a question: if I were to replace the stock camera app with miui, when I flash a new nightly, won't it simply over write miui and restore the stock camera application?

If that is the case, does anyone have a version that installs alongside the stock camera app, or could you tell me how I should set this up so I don't have to continuously flash the miui camera along with every nightly.

*I have been using version 10. I will use version 17 if it has proven stable for you.

Thanks in advance.

This is the .apk for MIUI camera # 17. Install via Root Explorer or Astro. Because it's a .apk and not a .zip file you only have to install it once, flashing a new nightly won't effect it. If the camera freezes or reboots your phone just turn off auto flash.

I can confirm what Dark Wizard Matoya says. I am and have been using MIUI #17 for several builds now and haven't had to reinstall it due to flashing new nightlies. I did run into a problem where I opened the old camera app and it seemed to break the link to the new one when I tried to open it. All I would get when I clicked either icon was the stock camera app. I resolved this by uninstalling and then reinstalling the MIUI app. Go ahead and install it if you haven't already. You've got nothing to lose and so much to gain.
