Well, after a while, I just pulled the battery, booted into recovery, data wiped, wiped cache, wiped dalvik a few times, and reflashed everything...sigh...now the reload begins...

Next time you find yourself in a situation like that, try to run Fix Permissions from Rom Manager or recovery. If that doesn't fix it, then a full wipe is in order.

No problems. Running 157 on my DINC and it is smooth like butter!~ Also, love the fast USB charging. Charges pretty damn quick, at least twice as fast as before. Any lag issues have always been a clear cache before I upgrade issue or kernel issue for me... A fresh install is always smooth..

Unfortunately fast USB charge will kill your battery if you use it regularly.

I don't mean to offend, but I don't think you should go around telling other users that without some data to back it up. I have had USB fast charge enabled at boot since it became available, originally in the form of the flashable .zip, and now via Incredicontrol, and I have noticed no negative effect on my battery life. There really is no way for it to effect your battery life because the code in the kernel that allows for USB fast charge is only called upon while charging. When not charging, it's the same old Incredikernel we all know and love.

No offense taken, just let me know the morning you wake up and literally overnight you notice about lunch time you're down to 50% battery with light use.

Then again, a $20 1800mah battery probably isn't going to last forever anyway.

I have seen no negative effects and inkredikernal gives excellent battery life. Livin the dream here. and if it does get low a quick charge and I'm good to go. One question:
My theory is that quick usb charge only affects usb ports on cpu. When plugged into ac power using wall plug it charges the same. The code in the kernel calls for more current causing the battery to get charged faster. Please let me know if I have this wrong. I feel like its safe to use, and I am an electrical engineer. I take the minimal risks mainly because batteries for the incredible are so cheap now. I think the benefit out ways the risk.

Actually... I went to NJ for the weekend, so the remote Island without civilization theory is not that far off. I miss 2 days and get clobered on the activity meter!

Plus work has been nuts lately, which is a good thing, so I've been checking in the morning and evenings. Sometimes you guys are just too quick for me!

What does everyone think of those alleged Ice Cream Sandwich leaked photos? Personally, I think they look fake. I've never seen a device use the nickname for the OS version in the About Phone section. Always 2.x.x or 3.x. Also, the colors looked way off to me. Anyone else have an opinion?

What's up guys? So what's new in the nightlies? My last one was 151 and it's been running like a dream. Tried SR 4.3 for a few hours but after 2 random reboots today, I'm going back to CM. I think I have a thing for AOSP ROMs.

Yup ICS mentioned in the build does seem odd .I doubt it will be released on schedule either .

I dont know whats new in CM lately since still not back on it ,but never had an issue with CM or SR4.3 or any Rom I flashed on the dinc for that matter.

So for the first time in forever, I went over my minutes this month. Glad I caught it before the bill came, the VZW rep was able to up the minutes and back date it so I wasn't paying $.40 per min overage! I was already at 80 minutes over with another week to go in the billing cycle.

I think sometimes we forget... These things work as phones too!

I've never come close to even getting near my minutes, much less going over. But, now that my wife (4/30/11) and I share a plan....that's shot. LOL We haven't gone over but I definitely has seen usage like I've not seen before. Haha
