Using Root Explorer, make sure you mount the folder as R/W. Tap the icon in the top right corner that says Mount R/O or Mount R/W to change the files.

ok so i did this and i got the animation to work but the audio isnt. i have it installed in the system/media folder next to the animation. its named android_audio.mp3 should it be something else? and do i have it in the correct location?

Just noticed something very strange.... I DID NOT flash 30 this morning, I am on 29! yesterday I checked to see if that 'wallpaper' was still available and it was.,, So I am talking a few minutes ago with my dad about the debacle over this stupid wallpaper issue and when I go to show it to him, ITS GONE, and replaced with Blue footed booby wallpaper (which is ironically funny)... HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? I didn't flash anything new, how can that happen? If anyone knows please tell me.

I think #28 was the last of the "Free Love" CM7's, You might have seen the thumbnail left over from #28 and it was cleared out by the time you went back to it.

Does anyone know how I could put my ADW EX setting in the spot where ADW used to be (which was right below CyanogenMod settings)???

That link you posted when you were having problems downloading EX, was about this very thing. You would have to rebuild CM7 with the correct files in place to get this to happen.

What build are you on? I'm about to flash #30 right now, but video recording is working fine for me on #29.

Yes I am on 30. I also did a factory reset and that didnt matter.

That link you posted when you were having problems downloading EX, was about this very thing. You would have to rebuild CM7 with the correct files in place to get this to happen.

Wish I was smart enough to bake it into a build of my own...

Video recording is busted for me. I think this was working before, but I don't remember the last time I tried it. I reset it to the defaults and it freezes after 2 seconds of recording.

Others have reported the same thing. Seems like they made some modifications to Stagefright on the 21st of the month that are having ill effects.

This is definitely not working for me and is not cool....what's the last build it was working on. I will go back to that for now

I think the last working Video build was #28. I just shot a test Vid OK and I'm on #27.

#29 worked fine here for me. Already rolled back to #29 because of this.

I believe audio goes in a different folder, not sure where though as I prefer a silent boot animation personally.

I didnt update due to the fact that i had gone back to stock sence to take a video in 720. then i reloaded the nandroid i had. im running 27# AND i have no problem with vids. but i like 720p so i convert back to take videos. guitar videos that is check me out on youtube if u like metal!

I don't know if it is possible with ASOP for CM, but I am doing some heavy research at XDA and asking around... I would like to know too... I be in touch, and let everyone know if I find anything out

Is it me or have the nightlies had more than a few bugs lately? #26 worked great for me and I haven't flashed any new nightlies because of camera issues and other bugs that I read about. I actually just flashed Ultimate Droid to give it a try (I believe the whole UD vs CM beef is over). UD is basically CM7 with more options and has been more stable on my DINC than CM ever was.

Ya know... Even though I really don't use my video on my phone often, it would be nice to know that I could if I wanted to... I hope they get this straightened out in the framework soon... i flashed 30 (im an addict) and will wait to see what happens in a few builds....

That's cool. BUT why are you in here telling us this... sounds like your just bashing CM... if UD is what you like, then cool, but you don't need to post your opinion about how bad you think CM7 is

First of all, no one is bashing CM. I have been using it for awhile. I was stating that lately there have been more bugs than usual. I have been flashing nightlies since before RC2. So there is no bashing going on here. I simply stated what I was experiencing or observed and mentioned that I was trying a different ROM. I agree about the bugs also... and I wrote that it sounds like ur bashing, not that u are... no big deal... if you like UD better that is wonderful you should start a UD wonderfillness thread
