bump- i think it might have gotten lost in the middle of my ROM question

also, i cannot figure how to load the miui camera file. i downloaded to the SD card. found file with file manager. opened and it prompts to install via ROM manager. i checked the backup rom and wipe boxes and let it do its thing. i noticed nothing different when it was finished

It's best to just be safe and do a full wipe. Always. No matter how close the roms seem. Just wipe.

1.Root the device and install ClockworkMod Recovery. Instructions are available here.
2.Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM.
3.Format the system, data & cache partitions of your device.
4.Perform a factory reset.
5.Flash CyanogenMod.
6.Optional: Install the Google Apps addon package.

Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 7?

1.Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM.
2.Flash CyanogenMod (your Google Apps will be backed up & restored automatically).

Wow guys, I can't believe this day is finally upon us...STABLE! I haven't flashed yet, might wait until morning, no work for me!

It's been a wild ride, everybody. I hope you all stick around for the new round of nightlies, this thread is a lot of fun. Even though I'm not around much anymore, I always check up on you guys before I go to bed.

I'm sure now that we have reached a final build, we will see a big increase in themes and boot animations, so keep an eye out and send me a PM if you find something good!
