I think I've been on CM7 long enough. I needs my NFL mobile (which doesn't work on ASOP roms). Time for a new.

Edit - Whoa, 1k posts since March 17. Can I not be a noob anymore (not that post count really means anything)? :D

I'm in the same situation since I've been on cm7 for weeks and need a change. I think I'm going to have to give this rom a try tonight.

flashed this last night after wiping everything twice, loaded it up, waited for it to settle for 10 minutes, then loaded my TB and customized it.

no FC's, i can now answer calls successfully (woot!), lock screen short cuts are there,
and battery life is still awesome (as awesome as it can be only having it running for 18 hours)

definitely worth flashing this.

oh, by the way--still have to edit to disable volume up/down wake so your screen won't turn on when you hit the Volume Up & Volume Down buttons

in case you don't have a patch handy, do the following: (i'm gonna try to make it as user friendly instruction as possible)

using a file explorer with root ability:

go to: system>usr>keylayout> Mount R/W>long press "Mecha-Keypad-v0.kl" to open in Text editor> scroll down to KEY 114 VOLUME_DOWN and KEY 115 VOLUME_UP and simply delete WAKE from both lines. hit menu>save & exit
then
in the same area, long press "mecha-keypad.kl" to open in text editor> then edit KEY 115 VOLUME_UP and KEY 114 VOLUME_DOWN" by deleting "WAKE" from both lines. hit menu>save & exit.

a backup of both the original files are usually created (at least, by Root Explorer app).

changes will take effect after restarting your phone :)
hope this helps someone

A few people over at rootzwiki reporting they are still having the answer call issue :(
This is true... I installed it last night and today i had an answer call issue.. i was playing with the phone when i got a call (so i didnt answer from the lock screen) and there was just an END button and no ANSWER button

and also, idk why but i have been getting horrendous battery life with it so far... even 3G has been sucking the life out of my battery as if it were 4G

Hrm, I did do everything. This is the only issue I have, I cleared the HTC sense data still nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

Did you do a wipe before installing? I know it's suppose to auto wipe but I do it myself anyway to avoid problems...maybe want to give that a try.

I wipe /data, /cache, and dalvik cache twice before flashing a ROM.

I did, but I noticed I had 2 apps called HTC Sense installed. I'm reflashing and going to only restore certain apps to see if that fixes the issue. I had the icons appear briefly after clearing the cache for both Sense installs, so hopefully this does the trick :)

Edit: Don't restore system apps your lock screen won't work :)

Not only will the lock screen not work properly, but restoring data other than app data can screw up things a lot more than that. It's probably one of the most common mistakes people make when flashing ROMS. This guide is in need of a bump:

http://forums.androidcentral.com/th...store-apps-data-when-installing-new-roms.html

Ya normally I don't restore the system data, but for some reason today figured it would be okay because it was the same ROM. Oh well lesson learned, all that I need to restore is my clock anyway haha

I would only try this to see the skins. I am running Gingeritis 1.2x the new beta and it is doing great for me.

Apologies for not searching in great detail, but does this update address the voicemail notification issue? I don't receive a notification when I have a voicemail. Read that it might be an issue with all Gingerbread based releases right now?

Use Google Voice, problem solved :)

With all due respect, I shouldn't have to run another app to get basic functionality back.

True, I only suggest Google voice because it offers free speech to text and access to it on your computer without any purge parameters like Verizon's voicemail service has.
