Gingersnap works perfectly. I decided to swap roms since I had been using MRG since january. I swapped back to gingersnap after I tried MIUI because the 3g icon wouldn't pop up for me.

speaking of music i have a weird issue on this rom. while listening through the music app if i open copilot the music stops instead of ducking around the audio. doesnt happen on any other roms that im aware of. not a big issue, but i thought i should point it out.

Incorrect Battery reading. Happens with all phones. And with your awakeness, understandable.

It seems /system on my OV is holding rw after my GS 2.2 boots up. On all my other roms when I went into Ghost Commander I have to manually press 'Remount/system' if I want rw access. Is this a bug or a new 'feature' I'm not aware of(maybe it's with GC?)
I've been using this rom since you posted(2.0 GS and 1.3 before that) and I don't recall having this 'feature' on any of them. When I flashed 2.2 I did sort of have a problem(I had to reboot/pull battery a few times but it eventually got going, I just let it be for about 15 minutes and it eventually booted into GS 2.2) I think because I used the full gapps package this time(I usually use the one without Goggle maps, etc.,). I also did a partial restore(just data) from my previous MRG backup, but I recall I was having the same /system open rw access before I did that too.
I like this rom, good job, but I'm just leary if it's something screwy with my OV/GC combo or if anyone else has this same issue/'feature'
I thought it might be something up with GC, so I fired up adb and typed
mount |grep '/system' in the shell and it looks like it's still rw on /system right after boot.
Other than that it's very nice(I like the small lg ui, I also use the lg3 theme with your GS), just got to remind myself to remount /system ro after boot up.

Tested miuigb and Ian amazed, fully theme and still no lag just wish mms worked, it would be a daily for since I use mms alot, other them that its running smooth with app2sd++ great job TGL

Edit: almost for got you only have to do the APN trick once then after you reboot. It will turn 3g automatic!!!! also if you hold the home key, on the lock screen, you get a flash light

This is actually a really nice rom, I'm enjoying it so far but I am bouncing with joy over the prospect of miui to play with. miui is by far my favorite

I would like to say that I think this is the best gb rom,I havnt seen better battery life this good since rodimus!!.Just seems the battery never dies with this rom,plus I'm noticing little things that I havnt noticed in any other rom like when a sms fails the lil icon in the status bar turns red instead of staying green.good job on this one!!!

I would like to add I am not running any themes or add ons...so maybe that is why I am getting such amazing battery life...

Somewhere in settings, you have to add a APN. Call it 3G and name APN 3G. Select it, reboot an never worry again

Anybody having any weird problems with 2.2? I did a full wipe and installed 2.2 with basic gapps. Set link2sd with ext4, rebooted and used TB to restore all user apps. Rebooted and everything went fine. Then I tried to install on my wife's OV exactly the same way and all hell broke loose. The first reboots went fine. When it finally booted up after using TB to restore, apps stated disappearing and her live wallpapers would drop out (but still be in the drawer). I used a md5 app on both phones to check that both copies of GS 2.2 and basic gapps had the same sum. I then rewiped her phone and noticed it took an extremely long time to format the sd-ext. I pulled her sd card (hers and mine are 16gig class 10) and reformatted sx-ext to ext4 using MiniTool Partition. Then rewiped and installed all from scratch. Again exactly the same problems. So I restored her working GS ver1.4 which again had a very hard time with sd-ext. Again pulled sd and reformatted sd-ext to ext4. Then wiped and restored GS 1.4 backup and runs great as it has before.

Now for the WEIRD stuff. Today I am running 2.2 and all is well until all of a sudden I can make a call, but it hangs up about a second after someone answers (they can't hear me at all). Same thing when I try to check voice mail. I pulled battery and held the power button for 30 seconds and reboot. I took a very long time to reboot. Still makes a call but hangs up when someone answers. I think there may be a sd card failure so I unmount and remove it and still the same. I try to reboot without it and it just hangs up until I pulled the battery. I then turn it off, put sd back in, do a full wipe and restore GS 1.4 which takes a long time to restore sd-ext and even longer to boot up. Still same problem so I try restoring JB and same problem, restore Froyo and same problem. I even do the ##stuff# to reset my phone number and MEID and still same problem. Next I unroot and factory wipe and still no good. Root again and restore GS 1.4 with exactly the same results. About half hour later tada, it just starts working again, out of the blue just like when it quit working. It has worked all day on the GS 1.4 restore except it has been eating the battery like it never has. Had to keep recharging and it stayed very warm. Tonight when I got home, I pulled the sd and repartitioned to one partition as fat32 and did a surface scan with no errors. I repartitoned with fat32 and a 1.6gig sd-ext as ext4. I have installed GS 1.4 from scratch and seems to be running fine and the phone is not warm at all but maybe a bit much on battery use. Won't know till tomorrow though. My wife's phone has worked all day with GS 1.4 with no problems she has noticed (and believe me if there was any problems at all, I would still be hearing about them).

So what is the consensus of what happened? I really thought I had lost the phone today.

I always do a full wipe and dont use EXT partition. I dont know much about Titanium Backup. Try reflashing amd not restoring, see if you have call problems.
