About hardware lights, don't set auto-brightness on, try moving the brightness slider a little.
Camera is working for few not not for others. And why isn't V3 camera installing, did u try installing it as an app? If so, don;t do that, instead push the V3 camera to /system/app, set the permissions and reboot. While you are at it in recovery, go into advanced and fix permissions. You 1st said themes aren't working and then that you got it working, so I;m assuming you got it to work. About lockscreen wallpaper, place all the pics u want in /system/media/theme/lockscreenwallpaper and now apply from theme manager.
Let me know fixing permissions helped MMS. I don't use it but people reported it to be working.

Don't confuse the system folder in the root with the system folder inside data folder, we need the later.

i only needed the theme folder in data/system


themes change from the folder on the sd card.....never needed to put them in data/system/theme.....

So I'm using experimental version 5 and the only problems ive had were:


White text on white background for some app popups
(Nothing more to that)

that is usually caused by the offending app. most likely the text color is coded in the layout and not as a style....

You'll always have to flash gapps seperately.

Yeah sorry about that, i did mean the data/system folder, first time i placed the themes there they didn't show up in the miui theme at all. So ill try that again, sorry im kinda busy so im a bit slow. Thanks for the advice, hopefully i can figure it all out.

No worries. Again, like Jason mentioned you just have to create a folder, don't have to place themes in it. You just have to put them in your sdcard/miui/theme.

I'm using youmail for voicemail and no problems here so I'm guessing you're using the sprint voicemail. In that case, someone using it might be able to help.

gapps-20111214-with.VVM.fix.zip... ...worked for me,, some don't like using this one because it interferes with themeing messaging, but it should get rid of the annoying voicemail message

Restoring MIUI stock MMS.apk will take care of the themeing issue

We have the same issues with HydroROM only our issue is black text on a black background. Very annoying but there isn't really much you can do about it short of modifying the offending app itself.

I had did this on a clean install.... but should work if cache, and davlik cache is wiped before installing...currently experimenting with ice cream sandwhich and have same issue, and for this since this is no fix... i force close VM and delete the message from messaging.......
