You need to have android sdk installed. You should have it already if you're messing around with roms, etc. Go to the platform-tools folder in command prompt and type 'adb shell'. Then type the commands I gave you. Highlight the results, right click and select copy. Then paste it into this forum.

Also, are you sure that you typed 'Su' before issuing the commands listed on the first page? And, please list the steps you took in detail. That will also help diagnose your issue.

Why is it that the powercontrol in the notification drop down is not included in this rom or grom? Is it possible to add it to these roms?

Supposed to have #. I need you to list out the steps exactly as you did them before we can go any further.

It's possible to add. It takes a lot of work to do the cm7 style one. A good solution to it is to use an app called "quick settings" from the market. If setup properly will create a quick link to the settings in that app. You can change them as you please from there. That is the only solution known to me at this time...

Re: [ROM] Opti-ROM v1.1 built-in apps2sd, storage management, OCa

ok I have a stupid question I am sure, when going into quick boot you have 4 options:
reboot
recovery
bootloader
poweroff
What is the bootloader option, what does that do? AND yes i have seen it before just never hit it. My motto is "if you don't know what it does, don't press it" So I am now wondering what it does?

AFAIK we don't have a bootloader on this phone. I've never hit it either lol. If you are feeling daring, hit it. Other phones, for example HTC or Motorola have a bootloader feature that must be unlocked in order to do certain root features.

Go into terminal emulator. Type 'su' then 'df'. It will show the amount of storage used on each partition. See that your /system/sd has some used.

Re: [ROM] Opti-ROM v1.1 built-in apps2sd, storage management, OCa

It is odd that the sound stops. Does the sound stop on both phones. Also does rebooting make any difference.
Are there any differences in your phone funtioinality.

yes both phones have the same issue. Rebooting the phone does correct the problem but then it happens again I posted the pic of what i see when i try to turn my WiFi back on. I know this is probably not a rom issue but was curious if anyone had some insight on why its happening.

Re: [ROM] Opti-ROM v1.1 built-in apps2sd, storage management, OCa

The thing is I know its not a network issue because my wife's phone will still go work. Also if I goto reconnect it says error and when it does it again ill take a screen shot so u can see. Is there a log file I cold look at to get more insight on why it is doing this. If it was just my phone I could accept that there might be something wrong with my phone but and my wife's phone is doing it 2 phone bought at completely different time. But it could be time to do more research.

Side note it wasn't doing this until we updated the phones.

Update: ok I posted a pic of what I see but also when wifi stops my audio stops

I am the same way. I use wifi all the time. I am using it right now from my phone. Please make sure you properly wiped everything from recovery menu before flashing the rom.

EDIT: Just thought of this. Some people's phones don't take well to overclocking so if you are overclocking, try without overclocking and see if your results change. ;)

Sounds like... ...you are experiencing ZVH issues and not Rom issues. For the WiFi, I have made my suggestions above. If you continue to have issues on ZVH I recommend reverting to ZVD. This will put your phone back in a workable conditioned. Unfortunately, when sprint/LG released the update they didn't do much testing to see if the update was good for all optimus.

Are you overclocked? You may be overclocked a little much for your specific phone. And people have also reported issues with overclocking since upgrading to ZVH. Again, its the nature of the beast.... Have to figure out what works best with your particular phone.... You may want to try "no frills CPU" app from the market and try different governors. See if that changes your results. ;)

In addition to everything I have listed for you to try above, what state is your wife's phone in? ie, what radio (ZVD, ZVH) and what ROM?

Re: [ROM] Opti-ROM v1.1 built-in apps2sd, storage management, OCa

Ok it says 961m size 2m used 958 free 4096 blocksize

Cool! When you issue the 'mount' command, you should see that it's formatted to ext4 file format. ;)
Also, as you download apps, you will see the used space increase and the free space decrease. :)

Sounds like it! Your internal may fluctuate depending on how the dalvik and cache is setup but it should be nothing to worry about as long as you see /system/sd increasing when you download apps. ;)

All phones have a bootloader otherwise the phone wouldn't boot, lol On our phone its just inaccessible from the factory. Why? I dont know and to be honest with you it would not add any value to what we do with custom ROMS. You can enable access to the bootloader if your really bored and daring and dont mind risking a hard brick. There are instruction here for the LG Optimus One which is our GSM cousin: xda-developers - View Single Post - [HOW TO] Fastboot on LGP500 These would prolly need to be modified to work with the CDMA version but it could be done.

WARNING: I do not advise trying to enable access to the bootloader unless you really really need it (you never will) or you dont mind taking the chance of bricking your device! If you do something wrong you WILL brick the device. Not a soft brick either. A must return to Sprint and get a new phone type brick, lol

Hope that demystifies the bootloader

EDIT: And yes, you are correct about the other devices and needing access to the bootloader. LG was kind to us and let us bypass those type steps!

Always happy to help, Hit that thanks button if I did

Just as blackops said as long as you didn't use one of the commands to turn it off... ;) just be sure that you read over the commands on the first page and understand what they do. I tried to give as much info on each as is needed. If anything needs to be cleared up just let me know!
