If you want to go back to RFS, yes - I would use Odin.

I have been getting a google framework force close over and over again all of a sudden, can you help out here? It looks like I am having issues with the market as well, had the issues with 1.7 and then updated to 1.8 theme but didn't fix it.

@jrogrig, try booting into CWM and Fix Permissions. This is random among people, I just don't have a real answer to why this is happening to some and not others.

jrogrig,I had the exact same problem , along with the market not seeing all installed apps..fix permissions worked for me however after a reboot ..same problem.i just did a wipe then reflash 1.5 and everything is perfect now

Can the baked in Ad blocker in 1.5 be removed?

Hi Rag and Paul. 1st off thanks so much for all of your hard work and continued followup with this Rom. It has made the ridiculous long wait for the "official" Froyo release a non issue for so many of us. In fact I fully intend to keep running TER 1.5 for the foreseeable future.

Do have one question that I don't believe anyone else has asked yet. While 99 percent of the time the baked in adblocker works much better than any of the addon solutions there doesn't seem to be a way to turn it off. This is a problem for certain games like Gun Bros that offer you free credits for clicking on links to download certain free apps.

Not a huge deal but would love to upgrade to the really big guns and armor without having to buy them with real cash...

Either way thanks again for this truly awesome rom!!!!

Will this Herver be better than TER1.5 or merely more accessible because it would be 'updated' by the dev's as TER 1.5 would be finished.
If it seems that TER1.5 is better than Sprint's update, then why would we move to it? Of course, if Sprint's update will be better, or if Herver would be better (even if using an 'older' or different file system) then how/when do we start looking at those options?
So far, I really like TER 1.2 and TER 1.5 and can't see how Sprint's OTA enhancement could be any better.

The reason i think for people thinking that 2.2 official could be better is because, the bugs that currently are in the DK28 will be "fixed" in this recent update, some what making us/TER users believe that is better than 1.5, but only until its released we would know

because I'm NOT leaving TER until i can be shown definitively that there is a better rom out there to be using. I hate stock. I hate sprint and their lack of care, support, and updates for devices. the official update can go to hell. The developers on here actually care about the people using their software. They answer questions, troubleshoot, and update to fix issues as fast as they can figure out how to to it. Sprint... doesnt. and wont. they have use in contracts and know we cant leave unless we pay big bucks to end them. The users and devs on here care and support each other because they/we all know the community would be dead without support and communication. We have no contracts. Only the reputation of the developers and the desire by all to have the best experience with our devices possible. THAT drives good software development. Ragnarox has provided more help to me in the last 2 months than sprint has in the last 4 years. and my phone, since he guided me through everything in the beginning, is running almost flawlessly. first time in almost 4 yrs i can say that about a phone. its running almost flawlessly. NO stock OS in my experience has ever performed like dk28 w/ TER1.5, nor have i ever gotten the support from sprint that I have received on here. screw sprint. i'll buy their devices... but i'll come HERE for updates and guidance.

Try downloading AdFree from the Market. There should be a "revert" button in the app that will remove ad blocking. If that doesn't work, post here and I'll make a flashable zip for you.

I only mentioned Herver and his Baked Snack ROM as an option for those who want an EB13 based ROM. If you're happy with DK28 and TER, by all means stay on it as long as you like.

Custom boot and shutdown animations are included with TER v1.5 - BIOS screens for the startup, and the TV off from the Nexus S for shutdown.

camera sports mode FC

Since I started "testing" the sports mode in the camera my epic has been having all kinds of issues, black screen lockups requiring a forced restart, launcher issues, etc. anything video related was having problems. Prior to the camera testing it was solid.

I would restore a recent backup everything is fine, running solid again. I would run the camera one time in sports mode, get the FC and it goes down from there.

Since I was going to have to restore again anyway I loaded up Midnight Rom 3.3 and testing the camera with the same results. FC in sports mode, unable to wake it up after the screen timout, or if I just manually sleep the phone.

I'm not sure but I've seen where it doesn't happen in DK28, nor with others in TER 1.2 (if I remember right). I am however running Launcher Pro on both TER and Midnight.

I am disappointed, selfishly, that you will not continue to develop this rom for the new Froyo. But on the other side, I don't see what updating can do to make my phone run any better than it already does!! In other words, I can't see a reason to upgrade just because . . its there.

Your time and patience to develop, and more importantly, work with all of us and answer the questions we need has been great. Keeping up with you updates and responses made me learn somet things about systems I didn't know, I'm no pretty self sufficient and can help others (I have friends in daily life I fix things for).

I see your respones on other pages, forums, so the unpaid time you spend for all of us is SO appreciated, I do not feel a bit let down nor care about the newest. Sometimes change is so anticipated, its disappointing when it happens. That is why I am finally happy, not looking for new and better, because I've got mine set up perfectly for performance, battery, and use.

Thank you for all the compliments. I only started in this ball game we call Android back a few months ago. I owe my skills to Ragnarokx and a lot of on the fly self teaching (trial and error). We are glad everyone has enjoyed the TER line of ROMs. Hopefully according to Ragnarokx these talks he's having with someone about another in house ROM will work out. Paul has pointed out that the camera FC may be due to the journaling mode. And since midNIGHT also uses the journaling mode, this may be the case.

Your words are much appreciated! I am sorry that I cannot continue updating TER. I've recently been given more responsibilities here on the forums - and rather than give you guys less than the best support I can, I'm choosing to stop here for now. I'm very glad that I've been able to give back to the forum that has given me so much.

We have some AMAZING developers either already on the scene or rejoining due to EB13's release. Mammon88/Randy_T who gave us the ability to have boot animations on DK28 and created the no journaling mod, Dameon87 who blessed us with EXT4, Amhgsk who was the creator of the original TrulyEpic and is now porting MIUI (keep your eye on that ROM!), and the return of Herver and his top of the line kernels and Baked Snack ROM.

If we didn't have such stellar players on the scene, I would think twice about retiring TER. But these guys will most definitely take care of us and give us so much to work with. I will return to my secondary role, and help you AC members sort through it all and give you the tips/tricks to help you make the most of these mods and filter through all the XDA info to get straight to the good stuff.

And a big thanks to Paul627g, who has been amazing with user support and has given TER some fantastic themes. He is well deserved of the Adviser title, and I look forward to the great things he'll do in the future.

That is about the neighborhood of what you will get with TER 1.5. It was never built on high Quadrant scores like you see on other ROMs. It was built around ease of use, reliability and real world usage not what some test says.

No problem. Sorry if I gave the wrong impression. Umm 900's that would be Quadrant scores from people running stock DK28 Froyo or DK28 Froyo custom ROMs. Once you convert to EXT4 Filesystem you jump into the 1300-1500+ range. Then if you convert to EXT4/Edify scripting (CWM3.0.0.5 setup) you would see 1500-2100 range on Quadrant scores. I've ran most of what is out there and had from the bottom end on scores all the way up to 2144 I think my highest and really it still comes down to how you feel personally that your phone is reacting and functioning in your daily activities vs what a test tells you.

I have the same headset and don't have to put in a password at all when it asks me to verify password I just hit accept and it pairs without me entering anything.

You have the headset in pairing mode when you do this? (Flashing Red/White?)
