i dunno, when i hit reboot, my phone reboots, when i hit recovery it just reboots as well.

any ideas as to how i could fix this?

ummmm, dang you can't get it to work at all??? It IS a known GB issue for sure, but usually one or two failed attempts, it works. KSmith had three in a row the other day, but it did finally work.

For fun (as long as you are not using data2ext mod) power off, and boot into recovery, then wipe caches again and reboot.

Honestly, I have no idea how to fix it.

i will give that a try and see what happens

haha so i figured it out, i am using go launcher ex as my launcher and kept on trying to do recovery from that. so i went back to the regular default launcher to give it one last try and it worked, and then i tried it on go launcher and it works

so the trick was to do it once on the regular launcher and to anyone who uses a different launcher and this rom, do everything at least once from the default launcher to get things running

sorry to be such an annoyance but everything is perfect now haha

Now that is interesting as well. Either way, glad you got it working.

[INFO]Post #3 is updated to so all files are up to date and compatible with v1.1 of this ROM

-no-clock mod -- Brand New
-rightside (normal) clock mod
-center clock mod

The drop down toggles in these files have been fixed to match the less blurry look found in v1.1

Can these mobs work on other phones that r running gb?

As I understand it these are all changes to the framework (not sure if this is in one of the jar files or the apk itself never did get into theming [/shrug]) because of that they will not work properly in other roms being as generally the framework is rom specific. A good example would be the power control toggles, these are also built into the framework (again I don't have the specifics on this).

This is at least my understanding, as I stated I don't particularly know a lot about theming (which is apparently not a word: I'm reminded of my dictionary rant on g+ directed at Cory Streater a few months ago :P) at the very least I would recommend making a nandroid backup before you try any of them but I really doubt they will work properly on other roms.

I wiped the cache and flashed the new noIQ patch in the first post - now my reboot keeps rebooting... I had to go back to recovery and flash the old framework-res.apk and android.policy.jar before it will boot again. Any ideas?

this. you must allow the newly flashed rom to boot once fully. then, go to recovery, and flash the noIQ patch AFTER clearing all caches. also, as drew said, do NOT wipe /data if this mod is flashed, as it will cause a boot loop.

gotta be gentle with your mom. cant force all the new stuff on her at once.

How would you wipe Data after doing all this?

I just noticed a small glitch and I can't be sure if it's due to the ROM or the New Google Music app. Basically, if music is streaming and a text message comes in, the music will continue playing without audio and haptic feedback turns off on the keyboard. The audio and haptic feedback will not come back without rebooting the phone. Anyone else notice this?

A complete boot doesn't fix it for me - it used to when I was on the previous patch, but now it reboot loops no matter what I do (unless I remove the patch).
A logcat shows:
W/PackageParser( 1942): Exception reading AndroidManifest.xml in /system/framework/framework-res.apk
W/PackageParser( 1942): java.lang.SecurityException: META-INF/MANIFEST.MF has invalid digest for AndroidManifest.xml in /system/framework/framework-res.apk
and then a bunch of errors show up about null groups and permissions possibly because it cannot load the framework...

For your situation, I'm going to suggest a full wipe of everything and then flash v1.1. Let it fully boot, and then apply the patch.

For the full wipe, go into mounts and storage and format boot, data, system, and cache.

Also go ahead and redownload the mod/patch.

Does this ROM do auto updating during the next release?
like it automatically updates itself at midnight of the release?

Am I the only person whose phone reboots rather than going into recovery mode when I use the "Recovery" menu item from the Reboot+CRT menu? I've tried it several times and every time it simply reboots.
