S20 Firmware For Odin Flash?

Nope. I did not. Do I have to ? Thanks
Verizon firmware is a whole different animal on samsung lol

Best bet go to unlock firmware with T-Mobile, I'm on It and everything works , WiFi calling , 5G even with my older sim card , recently updated to new R15 card and no difference .

I spoke to T-Mobile Support so they changed the plan but said SIM is good you should get 5G but could help further :) Should I try to get new card. On Verizon network it works perfectly fine and I get 800MB plus download. I have both Verizon and T-Mobile. Thanks again for the help

You can definitely get the card , but like I mentioned my older sim worked and had 5g

5G.jpg

so when I got to read Verizon Galaxy Specs on their website under 5G it shows only N260/N261 band and I think T-Mobile use low-band. Do you think it has compatibility issue and will need to be Flash with T-Mobile firmware which I have never done before :) Thnx

All Carrier firmware are interchangeable between the phone , so that being said Verizon like I mentioned is little funny on. Samsung phones .
Example :

Verizon phone flashed to T-Mobile firmware might not change verizon splash screen or still have there preinstalled apps ,should be able to uninstall.

My suggestion is get completely away from verizon firmware , and go to unlocked firmware where u won't get interference from verizon .

I can help you do this , also can go back if choose anytime to carrier firmware , using all stock samsung firmwares.

Perfect and THANK YOU so much for your offer to help. Do you have instruction and link to download the firmware. Thnx again

At that speed it sounds like your Verizon 5G is probably mmWave (Ultra Wideband), though. That's a different flavor than TMO's

This is the steps :

Windows computer needed

Latest Odin can Google it from XDA Forums and download the latest should be Odin 3.14.1 / and Frija tool or samfirm (i usually download both)

Download samfirm v0.4.1 tool and frija, extract it with 7zip.

You will extract files for Odin prince comsey 3.14.1once download with 7zip and will do same for firmware with 7zip .

Put your model number then region and select check for updates , then download the FIRMWARE , extract the FIRMWARE with 7zip.

There will be 4 files after you extract the firmware

BL

AP

CP

CSC

Each of those files will go in Odin when you open to the corresponding slots

BL

AP

CP

Home slot don't out anything

CSC USE HOME CSC FIILE TO SAVE DATA /THIS ONLY GOING BETWEEN CARRIER FIRMWARE OR IF YOUR ON UNLOCKED GOING BETWEEN UNLOCKED FIRMWARE

If you going from carrier to unlock firmware keep regular CSC not home CSC and do a back up it will factory reset the device.

connect your phone with cable to computer , once the files are in its slots hit start, once done you'll see pass in Odin and it will reboot

*Make sure you put phone in download mode
*If dont see your phone connected in Odin change cables or ports in computer .
*Never disconnect the cable in middle of flashing.

This the steps , for model number put 1 after U
Region put TMB

Any questions don't hesitate to ask !

Thank you so much again for the help. It worked perfect and everything seems to be working but few questions. I tried downloading by adding 1 at the end (I believe unlock version) but it fail when I pick 4 files (BL AP CP and CSC) if I remove CSC and just leave 3 files it just sits there I think the message was something setting connection or something. I end up downloading with adding one and used 3 files (BL AP & CP) it went through fine and received message " PASS ". First time I got a message like its not Verizon SIM but once I closed it just never came back. Now I am seeing 5G with T-Mobile SIM as well as Verizon SIM :) Verizon doesn't have 5G in this area and speed its worst than LTE with both SIM. I will test verizon 5G again when I go to office on Monday. Thanks so much again and let know if I need to do anything else

Did use the correct unlocked model number ?
Also I'm surprised it passed with just 3 files from carrier to unlocked . When u insert each sim does it prompt a restart to reconfigure service provider?
Your welcome!

No it didn't with the locked firmware but I was able to install unlocked version as well by using the patched version (Odin3_v3.14.1_3B_PatcheD) and it did prompt to reconfigure service provider just the first time. I love this one as at least with Verizon SIM it shows 5G only when I am in the 5G area. Thanks again everyone it was great help.

Hi all. Have been reading through this thread and other areas to get some info. Hopefully someone can help me out. Ill give you just some details. S20 plus on ATT. (G986U) Was stuck on July update and ATT was no help. So had it unlocked. Last night I flashed Samsung firmware. G986U1UES1BTIG. (G986U1) (USA ATT). Well since then I have no 5G or wifi calling of course. It boots up to ATT screen and still has all the bloatware. Spent over an hour on phone with ATT today. I told them exactly what I did. The rep from the "advanced" technical team said that the flashing of Samsung firmware or that it is now unlocked has nothing to do with it lol. The weird thing is when I reboot the 5G shows for a few seconds and then back to LTE

I assume thats to be expected? There is nothing to flash to somehow get the 5G and wifi calling back? I see some mention about the userdata file. Not really sure what that is or if its even available for my phone. And if it would even work. Thank you for any advice or info.

Something not right , on the unlocked version it doesn't boot up up to any carrier logo or their apps , can you explain how you did this and files you used ,maybe I can spot the mistake.

Thanks for the reply. I used Odin3_v3.14.4 (patched) And Firmware G986U1UEU1ATCT_G986U1OYM1ATCT_ATT. (ATT) (ATT)
I used the 4 files AL, BL,CP and Home_csc. Passed Odin. Only issue was upon reboot I kept getting an error so had to factory reset. Then phone updated to G986U1UES1BTIG.

STEPS: (I copied and pasted the steps but this is exactly what I followed)

Extract the firmware file you just downloaded. You should get 5 files:
AP (System &Recovery)

BL (Bootloader)

CP (Modem / Radio)

CSC_*** (Country / Region / Operator)

HOME_CSC_*** (Country / Region / Operator)

Add each file to its respective field in Odin v3.14.4. Use CSC_*** if you want to do a clean flash or HOME_CSC_*** if you want to keep your apps and data.

Reboot your phone in Download / Odin mode (make sure your device is off)

Once in download mode, connect your phone to the PC, preferably using the original USB cable you got with your phone. Odin should detect your device and a BLUE box will show up with the COM port number. (Be sure, the SAMSUNG-drivers are installed on your PC!)
Do NOT tick any extra boxes. The only options to be ticked are F.Reset Time and Auto-Reboot.
Click the start button, wait for Odin to say 'PASS' in a GREEN box. Once the flash is complete, your phone will reboot, and you can disconnect your phone from the PC.

Im getting confused with all these firmwares and codes. Was I supposed to use the USA_USC?

When I look back at samobile it seems like I used an old file for some reason?
