Sprint ONE April 19th

Had to talk to them to verify my info. I'm having it shipped to my work so I'm sure that's what triggered that. Then got the delay email. Checked status again and it said "one step closer" and to await tracking info

Here's hoping!

As a side note, I was hoping to get a screen protector in addition to the phone, but I didn't see any protectors on the sprint website. Do they carry these in store a few days before launch, or will we have to wait until the 19th to get one? I was really just looking for something cheap until Martin Fields starts selling their One screen protector.

Accessories usually go in store a few days before launch.

In Regards to the phone being international compatible with the sim card, would that mean that I can travel overseas and just put any sim card into the phone and it will work. Not being to knowledgable on phones with sim cards since its been a while i had one. being a cdma user for about 8 years. Or to have it be sim unlocked would I have to unlock the phone and root it to then have access to this?

Just unlock, but you'll need to use a carrier that supports the same bands.

Am I the only one having issues per-ordering on the Sprint website? I click on the front page and it just reloads.

I am having the same issue! I am also not happy with black not being available.

Same. I think black will be available next week. There are obviously significant supply worries and they are focusing on silver.

That's what I'm saying.....Sprint isn't handing anything out with it (don't think BB is either) so I'm not sure why anyone with a RadioShack near wouldn't just pre order there.
Because at RadioShzck you have to pay sales tax on the full retail price where as at a Sprint store you only pay tax on the transaction price.
That's roughly a $30 difference. So really you're only getting $20.

Also went to a BB store yesterday and the guy there told me that Play store gift cards were not retail store promos but rather carrier promos so all Sprint HTC One purchases would come with the gift card.
I haven't been able to find out how true this is because no one knew anything yesterday... I'm till at work and will be going afterwards to verify...
Anyone have any info?

I finally gave up and called telesales. They said that interest in the HTC One crashed the website. The rep had my order all in & then said that she had to put me on hold because there was a warning coming up on the phone. Her last words were, "I can't believe it has been sold out already after only being available for a few hours..." before the line went completely dead. I called back in a panic, but the 2nd rep I spoke with said that she didn't see anything about running out of stock & that I would likely get the phone prior to the 18th.

BUT...

I got charged a $12 shipping fee!!!! That's on top of the $36 activation fee... is this normal? I've never had to pay a shipping fee before. I'm still holding out hope for Radio Shack - if they are going to have it in stock on the 18th I'm going to cancel my telesales order.

Is this correct? I pre-ordered through the Sprint website and they charged me $61.88 for tax for a total of $261.87 (upgrading a line).

My shipping was free, I ordered online about 1:10 a.m. ET. It would be great to get a Google Play credit from Sprint.

Yes... but $20 is still $20. Plus RS is supposedly also knocking $10 off the price... so it's really an extra $30 in pocket... not to mention that Sprint is charging $12 shipping fee which makes the price difference $42. ;)

anyone ever buy a phone off of wirefly? they have the htc one for $150 right now. I would be upgrading would rather buy from wireless.amazon.com but they don't seem to have the phone available for preorder yet. It's a shame because I bought the 4G LTE from amazon as an upgrade and it never registered as an upgrade so I still have an upgrade with sprint. Does wireless.amazon.com usually do preorders?

I agree, however I would get it in store and avoid shipping. As well, I would rather just spend my own $20 in the Play store buying the phone through Sprint and be even. I'm against more tax!

$12 is for either 2 day or overnight, can't remember which. Free shipping is 3 to 5 days. If they ship on time we should still get it on or before the 19th with free shipping.

I just preordered mine from wirefly.com and paid $157 with 2nd day shipping. I figure i can cancel the preorder if amazon has something better. But $150 then trade in og EVO for $100 and sell 4GLTE for $100 to gazelle...i just made money, thanks HTC.
