Heck I just pre-order on Tuesday and it shipped today to that to me a quick turn around so I might get it tomorrow or Saturday.

The way I read the email, it went out at 2:28am & will be delivered tomorrow (Friday). Technically, that is overnight. If you got it today, that would be same day. Depending on how close you are to the shipping point, I guess you might get lucky & get it today.
I'm just relieved to see a tracking number even though mine is still not showing up/active. I'm now resting easy and planning to get it tomorrow afternoon & then have the weekend to set it up & play with it.

So the shipping email I got from Sprint says Second Day Air, but when I review the order under "my orders" on Sprint's website, it says "Overnight Next Day PM". Weird. Here's to hoping they get delivered today.
Sprint lists "overnight PM" because that is when they want you to get it...they choose whatever UPS shipping method is necessary so that you get it by the end of the next day.
If you are near their distribution center, this means Ground......if you are far away, it likely means overnight. I have heard of a couple that end up with 2nd day air so I'm guessing this is due to it being shipped out sooner.

I just feel like a pre order should get it the day before release. I shouldn't have pre ordered and just gone to the store tomorrow. I guess I always run the risk of sellout at store. Oh well, at least the wait will be over soon...

I guess my hopes were kind of high to get this phone today. Especially when I got a tracking number yesterday and the ups overnight wording in the email. Tracking number still shows nothing and now I'm not sure I will see it today.

Yeah, looks like Friday, just like Sprint promised. Would be nice to have active tracking info besides the number.
My shipping confirmation came in at 12:18 last night saying: Shipping method: Overnight: Next Day PM.
My tracking number for the first time was just recognized by UPS at 11:40 this morning and says: Scheduled Delivery:
Monday, 04/22/2013, By End of Day, 2nd Day Air.
What is going on here? So I pre-order and receive the phone 4 days after launch? I hope this isn't correct.

Mine says:
Order Processed: Ready for UPS. A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated. Label Created On: 04/18/2013 .
And it's 2nd day air. Which means if it ships on Friday, it doesn't arrive til Monday. Monday?
C'mon Sprint, what the heck?
Mine says it got to UPS this morning, Says that it was sent two day with an initial delivery date of Monday. HOwevere, it says taht it will get to my house a day early and will be there Friday. I would be mega pissed if it wasn't coming till Monday. Sending stuff out one day before two-day air just smacks of either incompetence or penny pinching. Made even worse by charging shipping.
Monday, Apr 22 here as well... 2nd day (though my email says overnight). I'm about to have words with Sprint...

Let us know how it goes. Since it's already gone out, it's probably too late for Sprint to expedite the shipping to overnight.

This is frigging ridiculous! I ordered 5 minutes after the pre-order went active online and my phone gets shipped AFTER someone else orders almost 2 weeks later?Man order on Tuesday just check the tracking said it would not be here until Monday which I thought was ok since I just order this week. But now they have updated it for early delivery for tomorrow.
Sprint needs to hold UPS' feet to the fire.
Makes you wonder how bad they'll botch the S4 in 2 weeks.
