Got a new modem from xfinity as it was determined our signal wasn't up to snuff, now all other devices in the house are great, 5 bars but my V10 is still struggling. Its even getting hot and only showing 2 wifi bars even though other phones and tablets in same room with me have 5 bars. I've heard this phone can have connectivity issues, but is there anything i can do to fix this? Thanks!!

Out of curiosity, did you try turning off some of the other devices (disconnecting from wifi) and see if the bars increase? I know, many times, if you have a lot of devices running on the same frequency the most powerful ones will be the hogs of the wifi. I experience with my laptop what you are experiencing with your phone. If I turn wifi off of my tablet then the laptop picks up. Just a suggestion.

There is only my husband and myself at home right now as daughter is off at college. At any given time like right now, it's just me in a room with only the v10 on. I have been checking other devices to see if they have all bars but im not using several devices at once and my tablet is usually off when I'm using my phone during the day so no. Nothing else should be pulling signal away from my phone. Also were on the xfinity X1 and they advertise being able to use whole house full of devices with no issue with the wifi speeds we have.

All devices are on the 2.4 ghz as it has a better signal

What internet speed do you pay for and what speed do you get when you run a speed test on the phone?

How far away from the router are you?

Have you tried putting the V10 on 5ghz band and using AC instead of N?

I have the same issue and there's two things you can do. deal with it or return your phone and get something else. Not being an *** but the V10 has wifi issues and they are known. No what what i have tried to do to fix my issue nothing has worked so i just deal with it. Sucks too cause i think this phone blows all others out of the water but the wifi issue is a chink in the armor. So when something else comes out that has a replaceable battery and card slot i think im going to get that. I would get the G5 but the screen is not big enough for me.

It must be only so many phones. As my wifi on the V10 is excellent. I run it on 2.4. My laptop and one roku on 2.4, Tablet and another Roku on 5.0. Never any problems. I have cable internet with 50 mbps. down. Use a Motorola Modem and D-link 810L router.

It's definitely not every V10 because mine works great as well. As I type this I'm about 50 feet from my Nighthawk R7000 and getting 82% signal strength thru 3 or 4 interior walls on 5ghz-AC. My phone maxes out my 200/20 internet connection with no problem.

Ansa82 - you might try setting a specific channel on your router (instead of auto) and see if that helps.

I agree. Only odd thing about this is that i got the phone in November and never had any connectivity issues until late January. I can't figure out why everything was fine and then just randomly started having issues

Its an xfinity router...it gives me 2 choices the 2.4 (better signal) or the 5. I've tried the 5 and I've no idea why but its worse. I'm paying for speeds of 110 and on other devices i get that but I've no idea on my phone since for some reason their speed test wont work using chrome on my V10

If you get poor signal from just across the hall, something is definitely wrong. I can get my 5ghz signal outside in my yard thru multiple interior walls and an exterior wall.

Telecom provided routers are never the best solution but you shouldn't be having that much trouble.

I agree. And the comcast rep who came out this past weekend installed something called an amplifier. My signal is actually worse now

A wireless amplifier or an in line amplifier to boost your cable signal?

Neither...the way he explained it, it distributes the signal evenly across all cable splits in the house. So it should all be equal and not a stronger area and a weaker area
