Mine is also marked as shipped, UPS 3 day. Regardless of when we get our phones I'm excited.

That is true when it comes to shipping the actual phone, but not releasing the phones super early. I ordered the S8 Plus from Samsung and got it on time. Tmobile shipping them a week earlier really has nothing to do if the third party distributor ships them early. Samsung has to tell them to ship them at a certain date. The distributor Samsung uses just can't start shipping them now unless they get the go ahead.

What I'm saying is if Samsung tells the carriers they can start shipping and selling the device, why can't Samsung tell their distributor to release the samsung.com orders then? The distributor Samsung uses also gets the phones ahead of time. They have them at least a week before. Just like with the S8 they prepped the shipments and then they were held.

If Samsung tells the carriers to release them there is no reason they can't tell their distributor to ship them once they get the supply in. That is just giving people who ordered from Samsung.com the big middle finger, plus that hurts them because people will order from the carrier instead of buying directly from Samsung. Doesn't make business sense to me.

Still, the $425 trade in value is worth waiting a few extra days over. No way I'd cancel my order. That is a lot of money, plus you get the 360 camera with the phone instead of having to file the rebate and possibly the supply running out. With the VR headset I really didn't give a crap but the camera is worth more and would be more useful for me.

Who knows for sure if Samsung has to explicitly give the go ahead to the carriers? That's just speculation really. If TMobile is preparing to ship it might mean they want to get the warehouse space cleared for the impending arrival of tons of iPhones. Who knows. Sometimes it seems like Tmobile does whatever they want, sometimes it seems they are tethered by the manufacturer. I guess we will see.

The trade in deal was good but I wouldn't give up my JoD option to take advantage of it.

The important thing it says is the IMEI. That means a specific device is now designated to my account/order.

Guys relax they have a habit of doing this, until you get charged don't hold your breath.

Yes same here tracking number and lease agreement with IMEI number on it! The whole nine yards and I'm looking out my window now. Lol

When I preordered am s8 then decided on s8+, my preorder change took almost a week. Still ended up getting on the 19th april

I meant I cancelled the S8. I couldn't preorder S8Plus until the S8 cleared out of my account. That took about a week.

Why should Note 7 owners get theirs before anyone else? I was a previous note 7 owner too but I didn't order through Samsung either. I don't think I should have certain privileges because I was a note 7 owner. I would say half of the people ordering are.

Samsung is shipping early for previous note 7 owners. Carriers are not allowed to ship till the release date. If tmobile does it then we are getting screwed.

Also, the holiday is coming up. That slows down things as well. Maybe they were having issues securing trucks in the time frame they were planning on shipping and thought they should just ship what orders they have now to lessen the burden later.

Oh. You scared me. I re-ordered mine this afternoon. It took a while with the messaging back and forth (and delayed responses), but it should be good now. Signed my first EIP when the second order was being done.
I must have finally got someone who knew what they were doing.
