T-Mobile: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

I got charged from Samsung.com unlocked pre order today morning. So may be everyone is shipping early who knows. I'm guessing everyone will have the phones in hand by end of next week.

So technically, i don't no why they really hold the devices until the release date, especially when they already have the stock + they have even assigned the IMEI numbers for the Pre-orders. I think the companies should really change their way of Pre-Order / Release Date. If someone pre-orders something then there should be probability of shipping the device as soon as it's available in the Inventory. Instead of waiting for no reason until the release date.

Yeah, well people posted all kinds of "movement" last go-round, which turned out to be other shipments they "thought" were the phone.. and if you notice, on any "movement" people have been claiming, they don't show the weight, actual shipment origin, or any other information definitively linking the tracking to the actual phone.. Not saying there's no actual movement, but yeah.. I haven't seen anything that proves it.

I didn't mean physical movement. I just meant that orders are updating across the board this time around and a lot earlier.

I don't want to be a Debby Downer but I just spoke with a preorder manager and for what it's worth here is what I was told.
Yes the phones are in shipping status which means UPS is now waiting for Samsung to give the go a head and ship them. Now if you already have a tracking # and a IMEI # that means that a phone has already been assigned to you and not just in a partially preorder status. Now she also told me that it still says to receive by 9/13 which means that they will be in a hold status until Samsung lets them go but that doesn't mean they can't release before then but again they don't know if they will be or not. I now am just going to quit checking on UPS because it isn't going to happen before Tuesday now if then. If Sprint is receiving them on the 5th that means that Samsung is releasing them but as some in the Sprint preorder forum some were reporting they were getting them today, then that was an error and now they are saying on Tuesday but I will believe it when I see it but also relieved that at least they are letting them go early.

I'll just believe it ships when I see my ups update. Until them just sitting tight. For me at this point, were going on vacation tomorrow and returning around 9/8. I'll be ok waiting a little while, especially with my mind elsewhere, at the beach..lol

Do you live on the East coast? If so we better hope we get our phones next week instead of release week. Irma is likely going to come near FLorida or somewhere on the east coast. It's going to be a really big and powerful hurricane too. We won't be getting our phones on time for sure. I mean if it hits as peak intensity like the models show, the Note 8 would be the least of your worries then.

I'm leaving the 28th so I'm good too. I do have the next best thing, S8+......lol I have plenty to do to stay busy but once you get absorbed in this circus it's hard to just let it go....lol

Fed ex delivers on Saturdays if you have a Fed ex tracking number.

Everyone delivers on Saturday (UPS, FedEx etc) but that's generally expensive shipping to have Saturday delivery. Even standard overnight just delivers weekdays and T-Mobile, most other companies ship with only weekday delivery option. So for example if it ships Friday standard overnight delivers on Monday.

If you want to pay for express they do. But normal home delivery is Tues-Saturday. Saturday it right at the bottom. The original person who replied to me said you had to pay extra to get it delivered Saturday. That's wrong. You have to pay extra to get it delivered Monday. Saturday is a normal home delivery day. I don't know why people have to try and argue everything. Lol
