T-Mobile: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

I got my tracking in MyUPS, switched to hold at hub and will have it at 8am tomorrow morning.

I ordered at 12:15am on the 24th. My order still says the shipping label was created on 08/30 and it's in Louisville KY. T-Mobile claims it's been shipped. UPS claims they still haven't received it. The App shows date of delivery as "unknown". I'm not in a crazy rush. But I'd really love to see T-Mo and UPS not screw up one of these major launches with so much confusion. It's not such a huge deal but it is irritating.

I'm having the exact same issue if I don't see a change by the morning I will be calling them both....not angry just irritated...

Calling them is like talking to the 2 stooges. Each one is worse than the other. I had the pleasure of having both of them on the phone at the same time today. T-Mobile conferenced in UPS. They were disagreeing with each other on the phone with no resolution. Lol.

I assure you tonight it's all going down. It happens quick. You'll get an origin scan then a departure and so on.

Origin scans will happen at different times depending on the flight schedule to each city. A lot of my packages out of Louisville don't leave until 4 or 5am.

At this stage I'll be thrilled if I receive it before the actual in store launch date. Trying to set myself low expectations so that anytime before that will be good :-).

Ordered yesterday and my tracking info just came through for Friday delivery.

I'm happy for you, but bummed for me. I ordered on 9/2, my card got charged this morning but still no tracking information. I can't even look it up on my T-Mobile account since I am new customer and there is no actual phone on my account yet. UGH

should I call customer service my Tmobile still say shipping is 9/13 to 9/15 and I see the websites for shipping has changed to 9/5 9/7 are they going by what your order say even tho I paid for over night shipping ?

TMobile still says 9/15 or UPS? LOL mine is the opposite, TMobile says 9/5 and UPS doesn't show any shipping, just like it has for the past 5 days but I'm happy the TMobile site at least changed.

So, my wife and I pre-ordered two Note 8's on 09/01. Up until earlier today, saw "pre-order shipping 09/13-09/15." I got a text from my credit card company, Barclay Bank, that they denied transaction due to possible fraud alert. This is literally the first time I have ever had a potential fraud alert. Within two minutes I called Barclay bank, and told them this is a legitimate order. They cleared teh block, and told me that I would need to contact T-Mobile to re-attempt. I call T-Mobile and talk with a lady and she saw the denied charge. I explain it was the bank who blocked it, and has since removed the block. The Te-Mobile girl had me re-read my credit card info. I specifically asked if this would impact our order, and not put us at the end of the order queue (keep in mind it had only been max 15 minutes from the denied transaction until I had proactively re-verified with her that my bank was good to go.) Somewhere this afternoon, now my order shows "Order status: Backordered
Estimated to ship: 10/03/2017-10/17/2017." I get it, that they need paying customers, however am not very happy with basically being automated to the back of the line with no grace of at least a few minutes to clear up something that could happen to anyone at their banks discretion.

Yeah dude, that's messed up. Agree with you that they should have been able to re-queue you appropriately.

Unfortunately this sounds like the typical business systems queue based processing pipeline.... (like, I literally mean queues, as in software that implements queues)...

Definitely grasping at straws here. But I now have a "Scheduled Delivery" line in my UPS status page which didn't exist before. It doesn't actually give me a date. But hey, something changed!
