T-Mobile: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Thanks for sharing that article. Haven't had a lot of time to keep up with some of this stuff!

anyone here pre-order your T-Mobile Note 8 thru Samsung directly? It was too tempting to not take the $425 credit they're offering for my Note 5. Looks like it'll possibly ship earlier too, but who knows for sure. monthly payment will only be ~$22 after the trade-in discount and $0 down- hard to beat that!
I did trading in my V20. So was 505 after the 425.

I pre-ordered though Sammy because of the discount. This is my 1st time ordering through them. Because the price was well under a grand (due to discount) I just paid it all off.

I preordered mine at the store. They will ship to my p.o. box. Did the $7 shipping, he didn't mention the quicker and I'm fine with that. He said they come a day or two earlier anyway.

They had 2 displays. Another lady was looking at them. We got to one table and I pulled the phone up and the alarm went off. We went to the other display and played with it. Both of us on Note 5s and trying the on screen buttons. It felt fine.

I didn't liked the Orchid Gray. He said it had a pink tint to it, looked more purple to me. I got the black.

He also said the preorder gift was 2 choices, 128gb card and wireless charger OR the camera. I chose the first.

I went into the store as well as no one was in there. The manager there wasn't even sure of the gifts. The other employee corrected him. It's all through Samsung promotions anyways.
I pre-ordered 2 of the black ones with standard shipping. No sense in blowing more money. I can wait the extra day or so.
They usually ship from TN or KY. I can't remember which one. I tried looking at old shipments and they seem incomplete. It just says waiting for pick-up, then the next update says delivered. It should be 2 days max to MI.

Note 7 and s8+ both shipped from Ky for me. I'm in OH though so maybe they have a few shipping depots based on your loc

I would think if you lived in OH, there would be no doubt that you would get yours the next day, even without overnight service.

I just input this for S&G's using Louisville KY shipping on 9/13.
I would expect 2 days to deliver ground to MI.

I'm more concerned about the sd card and wireless charger promotion. I don't want the camera. I'm not getting much clarity on my order from T-mobile

T-Mobile printed an instruction sheet for me. Here's the 2 options the bottom, not great picture, but shows the two options.

Maybe I will get that sheet when my order is fully processed? It's showing "order in-process" now.

Just go to Samsung Promotions through the app or website. Don't listen to anything T-mobile tells you. They don't handle the promotions themselves.

I'm on verizon but I got a question. I believe it was T-Mobile I saw advertising this along with others. With the whole T-Mobile saying they will pay off our phones or our service if we switch to them, how does that work? And is there a catch?

When I did it about 2 years ago went into a TMobile store, signed up for service, picked new phones, they ported the numbers over. Once the final Sprint bill posted to the account, I submitted that bill to TMobile and about 4 weeks later they sent a prepaid card for 2 ETF fees and 1 phone. They did require phones associated with those lines that were paid off be traded in but that wasn't a big deal.

It was a pretty killer deal when I switched because they were offering $200/line of you were coming from Sprint and I brought 5 lines. Didn't pay a phone bill to TMobile until the 5th month.
