T-Mobile: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

oh you're saying for every customer? I know of some people that have paid down payments on LG devices due to the requirements I've mentioned. My brother didn't have to on his iPhone at all.

But ok, that's weird and interesting. Glad they came to their senses I guess.

Yeah, every JoD order, even good credit, starting in August 2018 may require a down payment, even the $125 Revvl phone. Obviously bad credit could make that higher.

I wouldn't say came to their senses lol. I say they are going back on their word but they got around it by changing JoD upgrades to every 30 days up to 12 times a year. No more 3 jump limit.

To my understanding, they don't charge for the base model of a phone. So while the S8+ had a down payment, the regular S8 didn't. The Note 7 originally had a down payment, but customer backlash caused them to change their mind chiefly because it was technically the base (read: only) model of the phone. Same here with the Note8. If there were multiple configurations we'd get the base at no money down. When I upgraded my wife's iPhone, I could have got the base 7 or 7 Plus with no money, but we went with the 128gb, which requires a down payment.

Had to cancel my order and start a new one.
I hope this doesn't delay it more.

Dang that sucks. Why? If you don't mind me asking. I would be wondering same thing if I have to reorder.

Edit: my bad I saw why below

I just got a text message from TMobile that my Note 8 was being packed to ship You may see charges on your card....which would be for shipping. I just checked my bank and no charges yet but it ooks like we just might get it early!!!

My favorite is "I called in one of the first pre-orders and I still didn't get a text!" All in good fun though

When I called I was the first one he had gotten and he didn't know how to order it....LOL!!!! I don't know where I was on the 2nd or 3rd retry....

Yeah just don't get your hopes up. You can expect them to arrive the day they said they would.

Thanks Deke, we didn't need to hear that....LOL At least let us dream a little!!! I'm just shocked that the text message came as soon as it did. I didn't expect it until sometime next week!!!

I got the text too. Seeing how I've never pre-ordered before. If a phone ships early, usually how early is it? Is it possible we might get this in the next few days?

I gotten preorder phones with tmobile 2 weeks before released date, I won't be shocked if we get the devices by this weekend ☺

Hmmm i guess i'll be charged $24.99 then.

I don't know why I picked overnight shipping, I live about 15 minutes away from UPS and I'd probably get it next day anyway but I did see a credit on my TMobile bill for that amount so I guess she did credit it to me!!

Normally they usually send out these messages just prior to shipping but I think it could be by this weekend or early next week. I remember when I preordered the LG V20 I got it about 2 weeks before release day so I guess you could say that it could happen here too.

You might want to read the last few pages.

Edit... Oh you did already. Lol. You'll get the device soon.
