Re: MM downloading, Tmobile

It might take a few days for the battery to smooth out again as it learns the management

Yeah, it seems to have gotten a little better yesterday, but nowhere near what it was on 5.1.1. I'll give it another couple of days then I'll have to do a factory reset. Thank God for LG Bridge backup. LOL

In my experience from numerous previous updates (brand doesn't matter), it usually takes close to a week to get the battery back to normal. This was especially true when my 3rd Gen Moto G got M. I bet within a week you'll notice it close if not the same/better as L.

Is Google services updating?

my battery has been amazing so far, I wish I took screenshots

I have the phone as is, out of the box except for auto brightness and I downloaded Greenify to turn on Aggressive doze (causes doze to initiate when the screen is turned off instead of 15-30 minutes later)..

I use a lot of screen time, I work in social networking so I never quite got 4 hours before this update.. Hopefully I can now.

Did the Smart Settings function improve any over Lollipop? Like turning on WiFi when at home location works only half the time.

This has been one smooth update to both install and use. Really loving it so far too. I used the LG Bridge app from my laptop to get it. I'm glad to report that I didn't have to go through all those safety measures of backing up(well I did do that) and wiping the phone and all that other stuff a lot of Android veterans seem to recommend before doing an update. Glad to see things just work as intended although I know those issues do arise with some installs. The only thing I had to do was make sure the phone recognized my sd card again. K also had to uninstall and reinstall Spotify because it wouldn't even open saying storage was not found. Other than that. Flawless. I "feel" like battery life has improved but I'm not sure that's just the new update honeymoon phase. It definitely hasn't been worse at least. As far as things I can visually see that are different: peeking notifications have been refined. In GMaps for example you can navigate somewhere and leave the app in the background and a notification will peel from the top with each voice command and it just looks beautiful and is pretty cool. I love the new keyboard and how misspelled words are now underlined in red. The phone feels snappier as well. I don't use the fingerprint scanner but many have raced about the speed of it after the update. Everything just feels a bit more polished and refined to me which is what a version update should do.

FYI, I have an LG G4 and did the update to MM which caused my bluetooth to have static with my Infiniti Q50. 5.x didn't have an issue. A whole thread of people with same issue and other cars too. If you update to MM, know there are some risks until a patch is made. I'm interested to hear how the LG v10 does--I'm getting mine this week as I can't stand not having bluetooth in my car anymore. BTW--the MM was an excellent upgrade otherwise and the battery saving features made a big difference.

Also Q capture or Capture + now has been updated and refined. They now include quick crop feature and the second screen is now used to select your options. No way to show that but here is the GMaps notification peeking. Nice.

What native video calling? From LG to LG?
I've never used it so I'm not sure exactly how it works but I did get a notification about it the first time I opened the dialer app. I think it's for any T-Mobile to T-Mobile device that has the option for it.
