T-Mobile Note 7 Recall Thread

Samsung problem is causing T-Mobile to have a bad rap as well. Sooo glad I didn't get a loaner. Poor on Samsung for causing the issue and shipping on a small amount and poor on T-Mobile not knowing left from right

It's a messed up situation on all parts. I have a verizon line for work and looking at the comments on the verizon threads they all say verizon is the devil and the worst carrier ever. It's really too bad on all fronts, I love the note line, this is a huge black eye on samsung and the carriers are not helping the situation. Seems like a lack of communication from management on a process and how and when to follow the process.

I have my new blue note 7....some said i would have to pay a fee since I had a loaner device and was refunded my taxes and down payment on my first note 7...but I did not have a fee due to a rep stating that all is waived for me...actually got another credit for over 60 something dollars since they thought i paid tax on my loaner device which i did but i was credited that back over a week ago so got double the gratitude.....and no fees

Talked to tmobile again and finally got someone competent. Turns out the store didn't scan my phone into the system or something so it doesn't show at the warehouse it was scanned. Anyways 3-5 business days I should have my refund. a total colossal screw up on all parts! Next time no pre order and will only buy the phone if it's physically in stock at the actual store, or best buy if it is in store and unlocked.

Has anyone exchanging at t-mobile gotten the $25 Samsung credit?
If so how do they go about it, is it added to your bill, can you use it to purchase accessories, going to tmob later to try and get replacements.

Should get it in 1 or 2 billing cycles onto your bill.

I pay the down paint and tax on the replacement Note 7. I got a credit when I turned in the original note 7 and got the note 5 loaner for zero.

Ok. After finally setting up my new n7, I can give a quick rundown. Got there when the store opened. No one new anything. They tried to send me away because they only had enough inventory for what the store actually sold. Good thing I did the warranty replacement with 611 because as I was leaving (after almost 2 hours of discussions with the manager of the location on the phone) my phone arrived via UPS. so in all, three in-store associates, two store locations, 611, the 844 number, a store manager and TMO actual recall on the website, and DM messages from Twitter convos it was the UPS guy that saved the day. Guess who's going to be getting an email about this experience...

If it helps anyone, you can just dial 1-844-275-9309, and order your replacement if your local store does not have the color you want. In my scenario my wife and I both want black. (she's switching from silver). So i just called the number, placed the order and they're going to ship two phones to my local t-mobile and will send me tracking numbers. When the phone arrives at the store it will have our names on them. Then we'll just swing by and scoop them up.

That's what we did as well. As far as the "swing by and scoop them up" part. It may not be that quick. ;)
They have to do all of the updating to your account and process any exchanges, if you have any.

From what I have read lately, it doesn't look like you have a choice in most cases of changing colors. I know some have done it. But, as of today, they are processing them as warranty exchanges. So, whatever you had before is what you get now.

All I had to give them was my note 5 loner I just have them throw away the note 5 Box

I have my note seven I got the coral blue this time
It would have only taken half an hour if their computer didn't decide to miss behave I ended up paying I think one twenty something which was just a tax and down payment which makes sense because I did get the refund on the original note seven down payment and tax
