T-Mobile users make sure you're using a 5G SIM card.

Just went to a store showed them there own website and she said you didn't buy it from t-mobile so it's not a t-mobile compatible device so I won't sell you a Sim card. All the while she is looking at my N20U unlocked with t-mobile service. Now I will be calling CS and getting it free and a bill credit.

That's horrible...the SIM goes with your account. Shouldn't matter where you use it.

Yep I'm paying for it again just like I did the first Sim. Honestly I'm just trying to get better service at work. This was a speed test at work LTE+ with 5 bars!

Has anyone redeem the $200 back promo from tmobile if you leased or finance a 5g device in the last 30 days. works for the note 20 and worked for me for the z fold 2

you might call att i had this issue and system did not have my new samsung imei number in system.the minute they added it i got 5 g.

Just saw on twitter that if you have a 5G device on T-Mobile and you are using your old 4G SIM card you need to get a new pink "R15" SIM card. My N20U is unlocked from Samsung so I didn't get this new SIM card but I am requesting one from T-Mobile online nowm. I'm wondering if this is why my T-Mobile 5G speeds have been slower than my 4G speeds?

That's a great tip. What's involved in activation? Do I have to call TMO, or actually go into a store? It's been so long since I had to activate a SIM that I no longer recall.

I noticed I didn't have the newest Sim card on my Note 20 Ultra. I went into my local store and showed the guy this article on the forum. As usual, these guys had no idea. He did check in the back, and brought me out a new one. Installed it for free, and I was out the door in ten minutes.

Just stopped by a T-Mobile store and had my sim card updated. The fee was waved.

Speeds seem worse... much worse but I'll have to check a couple of different locations.

Go in the settings, turn wifi calling back on.
And bluetooth.
Turn the phone off and back on a couple times.
Somebody I know went to t-mobile.
They had to call and get the information on how to do it.

I did the same and they did not know what I was talking about . Never the less they gave me one no charge

Good luck with that. I have a unlocked on t mobile and she would only sell me one because I did not buy from t mobile. I had to pay 10 dollars

T-Mobile is sending me two new ones in the mail for two of the three lines I have. No charge for either. Bought the Ultra direct from Samsung. I only use T-Force on Twitter to deal with TMo though. They're generally more knowledgable and helpful.

Also had the strangest experience at the T-Mobile store... you're not allowed to enter the store. Had a employee set up outside the store with a table and tablet computer. You stand in line, he ask why you've come. If you need a sim card, he opens the door and yells to the 2 employees sitting down to bring me such or such. They bring it outside. He rings up your purchase there, outside the store, on the sidewalk...

Not sure if that is corporate approved.

Where I live I never had that experience
