Im using my desktop and its a Realtek RTL8111E lan that I use wired, Ive tried to use Ubuntu 11.xx and 12.04 and its the same with both. full specs are
Phenom II 925 @ 3.71GHz
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
Corsair Vengeance @1488 Timings of 9-9-9-24-1T
2x Kingston 64gb ssd's, 1x 120gb, 2x 80gb
Sapphire 5850 Toxic
Cooler Master CM690, Samsung Sync Master 2232BW plus
Razer Death Adder, cheap USB Keyboard


also Ive tried with a VM and it always errors out when syncing the repo.

I know on VM ware it was set to use single core only by default, I had to change it to dual core in the settings. That caused it to error on me. Next time you try it copy and paste where it stops and we can figure it out.

Phone doesn't notice it's connected to computer (but it charges) in a13.


Edit: Whoops, sorry guys, forgot I'm on Win8 and drivers don't work

It shouldn't be a Windows 8 Release Preview problem, I use it and my phone on the last public alpha still shows up. I'm downloading A13 now to try it though. Maybe I can help after

No, I just forgot to install the drivers...:-[ my bad guys....so used to linux, no drivers to worry about

I'm in love with alpha 14. Clean install, restored all my apps, and it is faster than previous alphas. I think the switch to the linaro build was a good move.

Processor still seems to get bogged down now and then when it's trying to do several things at once (mostly when playing music), but honestly, the linaro build even comes back quicker from processor lag than previous builds. It's noticeable.

Edit: Huh. I set CPU speeds to 320/787, ondemand, and even though no major app processes were running, my CPU frequency hung up at 787. It'll un-hang and go back to normal if I go into Performance settings, change the min and the max a few times, then set back to the values I want. I'm going to switch from a Live Wallpaper to a standard one and see if it happens again, but I really think it was triggered by trying to run Apollo and Facebook and start a new sync all at the same time. FYI.

Among other things, by NOT asking this. I never asked for it. Instead, I posted detailed thoughts about the new releases when they hit, and I donated for no other reason than I appreciated the work thekraven did. I tested.

That makes sense. I haven't been here long enough to do something like that. But now I'm lost. Are theses like the last builds or is he still developing for those who have helped and donated?

I didn't have the money to donate (or I would have, no job). I really appreciated the work he did as well. It was and is still a beautiful ROM. Also as for getting into the testing, you can't now, Alpha 14 is (possibly) the last build. I never asked to test either, I just gave some suggestions about incompatible binaries in the ROM and did some modifications for a couple A2SD mods that weren't compatible back when the ROM was still going. To this day, I do not know why he selected me, but I feel honored that he did. (My contributions weren't really that big ^_^; )

Kyle: Just saw your last post, afawk, these are possibly the last builds to Kraven's ICS that we will see. The testing PMs were named Parting Gift.

What makes me sad is that I can't even send him a thank you PM..

so thekraven: If you are reading this thread at all. Thank You. May anything you endeavor in later in life be well to you, God knows your skilled enough for it. ^_^

I think he may continue as a hobby because it keeps his skills fresh, keeps him up to date on what's going on in the greater Android community, etc. thekraven hasn't actually said anything of the sort, however; that's just my partial knowledge of human nature speaking.

I have no idea if he'll continue offering new releases to some of us, if he'll start offering public releases again, or if he'll decide to take up golfing. I'm not going to ask; it's his life. I have my hopes and I'm grateful for the new builds that come through. That's about all.

Don't think so; I think it was a simple rebuild of 13 using the linaro updated instruction set and all.

I did notice Cid. It booted up and I was like "wait... did the Android finally grow up?" xD
