Thunderbolt Pre Announcement Waiting Room & Availability Thread.

In the other thread O.G. Incredible posted from the Verizon Reseller event he was at March 3rd or 4th, most likely the 4th. He posted pics of the phone and the date, time and weather were all good. In either case it gets released or it doesn't, I am kind of getting used to a dumb crappy flip phone again, how sad

Just got a voicemail from where I pre-ordered(BB) again saying its been pushed to march 4th. she said it seems pretty official. But since nobody else is posting they got a call I'm wondering if they are just calling people to cover themselves if it doesn't come the 28th. Cause i got a call from them yesterday saying it will be the 28th.

i called the BB where I pre-ordered mine in Newark, DE and they told me that they would "be calling all those that pre-ordered on Sunday, 2.27.11 to schedule appointments for Monday, 2.28.11, to pick up the phone...." obviously it's another "that's what she said" story so take it with a grain of salt....

HTC Incredible S shipping this week in UK, will come with Froyo to start -- Engadget

i think VZW needs to work a little harder on their release game. of any of the interesting desirable phones announced at CES, VZWs is last to come out! oh well, the 10th thread looks pretty promising. if i have a date to wait for im good, i cant take the no info thing.

Why all these delays on this phone? HTC, Best Buy, and Verizon need to clarify what's going on. I ask myself what is so special about this phone for all these delays or promises of phone that never arrives.

Verizon, HTC, and Best Buy it's just a god damn phone. No one is asking you guys to recreate the wheel just spin the one's you got and give me my phone.I don't care what software is not on it. I rather have the phone and wait forever for updates then the other way around.

The Incredible S was actually announced at MWC earlier this month, which emphasizes your point even more.

oh yeah, good call!! vzw needs to seriously clean up their act. i dont care what anybody says, they have absolutely failed miserably on this release.

I agree. I wonder if we'll ever get any concrete details of what has happened in the interim between [HTC CEO] Peter Chou's announcement that the Thunderbolt was shipping and its eventual release date.

There are so many possible scenarios (many of which have been chronicled on these very boards), that it would really be interesting to see if anyone was actually right about the cause of the delay (or non-delay if you're a Verizon apologist).
