Thunderbolt Pre Announcement Waiting Room & Availability Thread.

I just read in some report that, in January, HTC was the third biggest selling cell phone manufacturer after Apple and RIM, and ahead of Motorola and Samsung.

Remove corporate purchases and I'm sure RIM drops below HTC.

I was just wondering. Is there anyone considering LG Revolution as an alternative?

I hadn't really thought about it, but we know even less about a release date for the Revolution as even the Bionic.

From everything I've been told, the Bionic will more than likely not be out until June. The Revolution would be fine for me as I'm in an LTE city, but the Thunderbolt would still probably be the best overall phone for people that aren't in LTE areas because SVDO can hold people over until LTE comes.

I still think the Thunderbolt will be out before the Revolution, so I'll just wait for the Thunderbolt.

I'm not moving to Google (linux) OS to be strapped with a windows search engine.

It may be because the Samsung and the Bionic both have features that differentiate them from the Revolution. The Revolution is pretty much like the Thunderbolt with a lesser camera. The Samsung has their special screen and the Bionic is dual core.

Bennnn posted (I think in the Storm Brewing thread) that the system is NOT showing that devices are shipping today.

I sent a tweet to Sentrix questionning his tweet.... He has not responded.

you know what would show apple? if they did infact make vzw delay the tbolt and this delay didnt matter, it still sold more then the iphone, ipad2. how cool would that be? jobs would prolly throw another embarrassing fit like a 2 year old. he is scared. i hope its the 10th, thats next week and ill actually have a busy week that week

I had the LG Dare years ago- horrible call quality. Of course, things have changed between now and then technology wise, so who knows.

Take it with a grain of salt as with everything else we have seen but any info is better than nothing. I'm going to pick up the Sunday paper to check out BB's weekly Ad. (That is if Verizon does not make an announcement by then)

Edit: When I said "if no one has seen it yet" I was referring to the Article itself. I know some of the info in the article is "old" news. I just wanted to clarify that

This thread is now well over 300 pages and heading towards 400. Its just one vast merry-go-round of the same information and rumors. If we took all of the posts that have been repeating the same information over and over and over and just posted it once, we could take this thread down to one page. And it wouldn't be any more reliable than it is now but at least it would be just one page of rumors instead of amost 400 pages of the same rumors being posted ad infinitum!

Interesting idea...and I sort of believed that too, especially the notion of people returning their iphone because they may feel like a "better" phone just go realeased and the will have buyer's remorse.

My main reason for not beleiving this now is the all mighty dollar! Verizon is losing money right now...people have their contracts from all the carriers come up every day. Yes folks are hanging on with old phones etc. for the short term (and have been since mid feb)....but it is not a one year or two year cycle they are thinking of.

I think they have a problem with the phone. If it is logistical issues etc. they would have at least announced a release date to "freeze" customers from ALL the carriers who have contracts coming up to wait for the bolt!

the problem is.. verizon can do whatever they want and HTC can't do jack squat about it... it'll only be loss on HTC's part if they threat verizon saying we'll withdraw our phones from you.. or any of that nature..

Where do you think Droid Life got that stuff about HTC being upset? From Sentrix' blog.

Bennnn is a legit individual. It'll remain to be seen about how timely his info is. I have confidence in him though.

As for Sentrix, I agree I think he's probably just blowing smoke but I think he truly believes what he's saying.
