Thunderbolt Pre Announcement Waiting Room & Availability Thread.

I know many on the forums see all of the conversations as "negative press", but is it really? In the world of marketing and for a company like Verizon what they are getting is press you cannot pay for, it has in fact created so much pent up demand and interest in the product that they may in fact will delay it further to capitalize on it, further the apple product sales and launch the Samsung right after it.

In the end the only way Verizon gets hurt is if the TB doesn't sell and that is if HTC doesn't get stuck with them when Verizon returns them.

So we can either wait, cancel or pre-orders or go elsewhere. Me personally, if no news by Monday I am canceling my pre-order and getting my money back, my cash has been tied up for long enough.

Interesting thought process. Some seemingly negative press could be construed, at first, as a positive since it's generating SOME buzz. However, we've passed that point. When you search "Thunderbolt" what do you get? Mostly returns about delays, etc.

The passion and desire for the phone is starting to die down. I think if Bennnn had not come and got things going again, this place would have been pretty much dead.

I'm still excited for this phone.... but I can tell you it's SIGNIFICANTLY diminished. And every day that goes by, I get less excited about it. I'm not switching carriers, or anything like that... but the desire to go out and drop a bunch of money on something that seemed fresh and new... but is now just delayed and old is not high on the priority list.

I feel the same way. As I have said before, I sold my phone on Ebay in expectations of this phone coming out a long time ago. Luckily I had a friend with a phone I can borrow until it comes out, but this is getting ridiculous. I had to get a fellow forum go-er here to talk me out of taking advantage of those Droid deals they have right now.

This is getting ridiculous.

Go get your new game then. :)

LOL... well it helped me a bit. Calling and bugging a VZW CSR or BB will get us nowhere fast.

Hello everyone,

This is going to be somewhat of a long post but maybe it can help someone. Here goes, I called Best Buy because I was furious with the price difference in the Thunderbolt, being that I preordered it when the ad quoted $249.00, now when I spoke with my local Bestbuy Rep he stated that he could not credit me but he could give me the 888 best buy number and if they called with the ok then he will. Now when I called the 888 number they listened to my drawn out story (they were very nice) and directed me to consumer relations, I there spoke with a person that was extremely nice, he called my local Best Buy I explained the story again to a diff mobile rep while the consumer relations rep was on the phone, she then put me on hold and came back took my name/number and said her manager said he will honor the price but I must bring in both ads with receipt. Being that I never throw anything away I have both ads. Hope this can help someone.

Old stuff. This guy that info is from was saying stuff on other forums, may not be true.. Just sayin is all. Open eyes..

I know March 10th has already been confirmed by some, but I know that If you are like me then you want more proof:

HTC ThunderBolt Already in Stores, Just Not for Sale Yet [INSIDE SOURCE] | Android Community

Apparently things are getting "chippy" between VZW and HTC :-!

Another "inside source". When will we stop the madness? For the love of [your choice] someone cite a real source before posting more dribble. And NO, March 10th has NOT been confirmed!

With all this anxiousness, will all need a vacation with our new phones when it does get here. :)
