Thunderbolt Pre Announcement Waiting Room & Availability Thread.

OK.... so maybe it is just my eyes and I thought I saw something similar posted earlier today, but I don't remember which thread....

I just looked at the VZW TB page.... Does it appear that the font is larger then before (maybe to represent it's getting closer)? Not only does the Thunderbolt and Strikes soon appear larger, but also the 3 different phrases that come forward as you move the mouse around.

And, no, I have not changed the settings on my laptop! :)

I don't think so but (I think) this page has changed. Was it 8 hotspots before?

I don't even have to look at the web page to say: Are you kidding me???

HTC ThunderBolt™ at Verizon

The HTC page has changed, that only use to have 2 bullet points under the Overview.... the stars are aligning.... the new information under Overview:

With this much power, speed and Android awesomeness, it's not your dream phone. It's the one after that.

Infinite entertainment. Download movies, e-books, games, music and more in seconds. Pop out the kickstand, turn up the surround sound and enjoy hours of entertainment on the hi-res 4.3" screen.

Infinite possibilities. With an 8MP camera, LED flash, in-camera effects and a 720p HD camcorder, you can capture every moment in picture-perfect resolution. And with 4G uploads, you can unleash it instantly, for all your friends to see.

Phone screen, meet flatscreen. Built-in DLNA connectivity takes all the music, movies and photos on your phone and beams them wirelessly, right to your flatscreen.

Beyond wireless. Launch a mobile hotspot and just like that, your phone turns into a wireless router, delivering a wi-fi connection and the power of 4G to 5 different devices.

The wait is over. With a 1GHz Snapdragon Processor and the power of Verizon's new 4G network, you can say goodbye to the loading bar. And with the new instant-boot feature, you can say hello, faster than ever before

I actually agree to some extent. It does appear that the words that rotate around your mouse are bigger than they used to be. Probably decided the design would look better and more readable this way. However, by no means do I take this as any kind of indication of a launch.

I forget where, in this mess of posts, but he apparently sent credential privately to some mods and they posted that they saw his credentials. Nothing definitive that we could see.

You would think that by now, after aaaaaaaaalll the hubub and hooplaw about the TB's delayed release, rumors, speculations, that SOMEBODY at VZW in the know or inner circle would have gotten wind of all the negative backlash and came on here (or any android type site) annonymously- and give us the real/latest scoop as to what happend and when we truely should expect it. I don't like the way big red is treating its non-iCrap users. I think Im gonna go with the Atrix instead. F&%k Verizon!

Don't expect any better treatment from AT&T. They cap speeds on their other phones to accommodate the iPhone traffic.

Hoping someone can confirm something for me. I know (as stated above) that the TB can act as a DLNA server, but can it also act as a DLNA client? Meaning, will I be able to view media from my networked PC on the TB?

I would imagine that is the case, but I want to make sure. Not all DLNA devices can share media in both directions.

But the reality is that the hubub and hooplaw is not as big as we like to think in here. There is no mention of the TB in the mainstream news. Even a search on google shows very few links to "news" about the matter and what little does shoe up comes from sites like this: sites that cater to a small group sharing a very specific, if die-hard, interest.

Good question... I would imagine it could with the right software.
