I seriously doubt that. We marked up the iphone from 649 to 699. The system showed BB's price was 749. So that means VZs will be lower. Just wait.

I just pre-ordered today at BB in West Los Angeles. Sales rep said they would have phone by 2/24 but they are hoping for earlier.

I chatted with a VZW representative today.....She stated that while she is not allowed to release exact launch date information, she did say that Verizon will also be doing a "pre-order" event very soon. She stated to me that in order for Best Buy to activate Verizon wireless service on any given device, that Verizon's internal systems have to be ready to accept the device for activation. I asked her if she meant that when the device launches at BestBuy, it would also be available for order at Verizon as well? She indicated that to the best of her knowledge, that's how it will work.

VZW rep told me they would have pre-orders but as to whether it would be one week like iPhone or 2-3 days is yet unknown. I'm hoping for a week so I can still order it when I'm in the country... lol.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think it will ship so that it arrives that day (24th).

Verizon usually ships pre-orders out so they make it to their location a day or so prior to release date.

So are we 99% sure its the 24th? My trial period is almost up for T-mobile, so I picked up an iPhone 4 to get on Verizon. If it doesn't come out by then, it looks like I might be heading back to an iPhone...

What makes the 24th more cognitive than the 17th which is also on a thursday?

im goin with 24th just for the worst, it would make 14th, 17th so much better. either way, its coming, 2 differ best buy ads. dummy units, posters. kiosk letting people hold dummys. an now a entire verizon display set on ebay.....shocking verizon still hasnt said a word
