Well, VZW didn't announce the date yet just "coming soon". What we got now are those "can't tell the souce" so-called "confirmed" date.

I got a feeling that phil may lose his credit this time to make the confirmed predict....check the next thread that someone post the ad newspaper from bestbuy this week. (Although they also show the high $749 retail price).

Let's don't give up the hope and see who can be trusted. We will get the answer on Monday.

Once again, Verizon counts the 10th as day one... which if you count it up on your little fingers, makes the 23rd the 14th day and means the return period expires after 11:59 PM on the 23rd

I am almost 100% sure its for the following week, I have seen next weeks ad scans and its not in there. So I believe that person got a hold of the following weeks ad which would help prove it will be the 24th.

No way that ad was meant for Sunday the 20th.

The 24th is on a Thursday, and if that ad were to run on Sunday the 20th, then BB would have people showing up on Monday, Tues and Wed saying "Hey - the ad said you had this phone, how come you don't have it in stock? It didn't say anything about a pre-order. What's the deal?"

The ad must have been designed to be shown on Sunday the 13th. It just doesn't make sense to me any other way, unless the real date is the 21st but no one has ever put that day forward as a candidate.

I would still put money on the 24th there are no facts to believe otherwise. Verizon has always released phones on Thursday and that bb ad doesn't say anything about a release date or at least what we can see in the picture.

Hmm... maybe that's why it says "National Retail Exclusive"? Maybe they'll launch it on the 20th, but then again, Walmart sells Verizon also, so maybe it's simply above the "National Retail Exclusive" line or at the bottom because you can tell that part of it is cut off.

so i just called m local best buy and they also told me it was delayed till the 21st so ill round it up to the 24th haha...damn so stoked for this week now im not so stoked about this week

Okay, notice how the ad DIDN'T mention anything about preorder; this confirms that the Thunderbolt will already released and therefore ensures a February 14th or 17th launch at Best Best even if Verizon and other third party vendors don't sell the phone on those dates for whatever reason.

Wishful thinking. It'll be 2/24. But BB probably wasn't sure on exact date when this ad was developed and sent to printers.
