Oh believe me I don't want to have to be negative. I actually got a voicemail on Saturday from my Best Buy that I pre-ordered at. Brandon told me that they didn't have the Thunderbolt in stock yet, but they are still expecting it on the 14th. But that they would give me a call so I wouldn't have to come into the store and be disappointed. I get the feeling my store didn't have too many pre-orders since they are making personal calls to those who did.

I talked to one rep first that said "we don't have any htc thunderbolt for sale, can i help you pick out a phone today?"

then i talked to another rep that knew about it

She said "I'm sorry we don't have any info on the release date for the ThunderBolt. May I ask why your interested in the ThunderBolt?"

I go on to tell her the features of the device and she responds:

"Very well done, your one of my first online customers that know about the device there looking for, you've done your homework"

I also ask about the contracts that changed this year, since you can't get a 1 year contract with the iPhone and i was told by a bestbuy agent that Verizon won't be offering 1 years on there upcoming devices. so she softens that blow by responding "currently we have no info nor was told about the discontinuation of the 1 year contract, I hope that eases your pain a little since i don't have any ThunderBolt release dates for you"

but the fact that two reps have said tomorrow, i can only assume there using the original planned date material on there desk to give to customers.

it would be a nice surprise to have pre-orders start tomorrow morning though but might not happen

add any phone to your cart and you will see a "Chat Now" button on the window that pops up at the top of the window.

and yeah i feel ya, its like playing a game of roulette lol i had one that didn't know what the thunderbolt was and one that knew all about it minus the date

The fact that all these reps are saying different things leads me to believe that there is still no official word internally from Verizon, otherwise these reps would all be on the same page

Besides, Phil from AC, as well as several other blogs, have insiders that feed them info on stuff like this and they all say the 24th. Usually these insiders are people involved with the actual process, so I trust their word more than I do word from some Sunday night chat rep

Sure, it's possible that something will happen tomorrow. If so, I bet that it's finally an official announcement from Verizon, but that's all

If someone gets a hold of a rep that says it's coming tomorrow can you ask them how they have this info? If they heard this from:
-another rep
-some random person
-some ad
-from a head honcho
-it says it in the computer currently

And as the conversation was closing I got this: "Sharonda: Yes, I like that phone myself. You can check back on the site tomorrow and see if any information on its release date will be given."
