Just to update you guys. The VZW rep confused dummy phones for the actual phone and it took him about an hour to realize. The manager did credit me $50 for the hassle though. Sorry to get your hopes up

Oh I have accepted it. I even changed my google calender event to the 24th..but like what happened last night..we all knew the 14th was a bust, but then 2 vzw reps said it would be released at 7am we all went nuts...its hard to not.

I think we've all realized nothing's happening today, especially if the HTC and Verizon Keynotes are tomorrow. I'm sure we'll get an announcement then. And it's becoming pretty obvious it's not going to be released two days later. 24th is the day to bet on. Let us pray it's not a day later

Well, my local Best Buy admitted no launch today, claimed it was because of the 14-day return window of the iPhone but also said they would honor preorders as soon as they get them in hand. I asked him if he was referring to a kind of "soft launch" and he said yes. He made it sound as if they would sell to those that preordered if they get them in hand prior to the 24th, but that they wouldn't open up regular sales until the 24th.
And he claimed Verizon wouldn't be selling it because they have the exclusive on it. yeah...I know....
