I think Verizon is scrambling to get this thing out there before the Atrix drops March 4, which could explain why everything is so fubar in regards to this phone's release

As blackmanx said, the TB was supposed to be released mid-March, but has been moved up to February - I suspect it is because of the Atrix. They HAVE to beat that phone to the market

Yup. VZW can choke on the Thunderbolt if they expect me to pay 250-330 for a subsidized phone and it to have only 3G at launch then want me to pay another 10-20 a month for 4G.

iv already been irritated by the wait an lack of info. if there is any type of swindling on 4g like hidden fees or buying the lte sim...t mo might get a new cust...or att atrix.

AT&T*, Sprint and T-mobile don't have surcharge for 4G. If they charge $0.01 for 4G then I am out.


*I know AT&T doesn't have 4G yet but they are not going to charge for it.

Ya this can ONLY be GOOD news for us.. If anything they will push it up asap.. 21st may become the new release date. Honestly if I was not stuck in a family plan (I'm the main account holder too) I'd say the heck with the upgrade and most likely jump ship to the atrix.. (AT&T has good coverage where I live too) Granted the T-Bolt will be the phone I end up with, if they dont move the release date up to the 21st good chance they may lose a decent chunk of people to AT&T n the atrix.

I also find it quite funny that it was moved up to the 22nd, obviously the phone is ready so unlike verizon they are not stalling one bit.. Sigh get your act together verizon and release the T-Bolt the 21st..

With news of the Atrix looming VZW needs to announce a firm release date TOMORROW. I'm sure we are still looking at a 2/24 release date, but if they don't give a concrete date many, many people who have been planning on a TB purchase will be jumping ship.

I sure HOPE SO.. It's about time they start scrambling, they have been so care free about the launch. Its about time they get their act together and give us the release date no later than tomorrow.. Hopefully it's the 21st.. If not I have already accepted the 24th and I'll be fine with it, just speak already verizon lol.

Ya, someone posted it last night. I figured at the time it just confirms we will get it on the 24th.. But now that the atrix has been moved to the 22nd verizon hopefully will give the ok to release it on the 21st
