BB just needed to have a date in there for the sake of putting a date in there. So they select the earliest date that the phone can come out, then adjust as time goes on.

Correct. The stars would appear to be aligning however I do think its just a placeholder date

There are some other hits on the net right now that look at the 21st but it is the same source...not sure if I am liking the fact that the source is BB...just sayin.

I sort of dismiss the notion that Verizon is doing a soft launch. LTE is their game changer for the entire cellular world (that is not using an iphone)....think of all the people from this day forward who have an expiring contract...verizon stands to win big or lose big with this particular launch...I think they do have some issues. I would be happy if it is because of the iphone instead of some technical issue with the bolt itself.

With news of the Atrix looming VZW needs to announce a firm release date TOMORROW. I'm sure we are still looking at a 2/24 release date, but if they don't give a concrete date many, many people who have been planning on a TB purchase will be jumping ship.

Smart move by AT&T, I have a feeling VZW is really scrambling now.

Completely agree.

blackmanx stated that the TB was originally supposed to drop in March. But when they saw the Atrix was slated for March 4, they all of a sudden moved the TB drop date up to late February.

Now AT&T has thrown Verizon a true curveball here if this Feb 22 Atrix rumor turns out to be true. Really slick move here by, AT&T. Gotta give 'em props on this one.

Unfortunately, a one day advantage won't do anything for Verizon. They're truly screwed on this one. So I doubt we'll see a Feb 21 release. A one day advantage won't be enough to really do anything. Plus they'd have to completely revamp their marketing plan, expedite shipping dates... It's not possible this close to the deadline. This is their 4G LTE launch party, they can't just throw this together and change their plan at the last second. I'm still rolling with Feb 24.

Verizon did their best effort by moving the TB launch date up from March to late Feb, but I think AT&T got the best of them here. Sorry VZW! Can't win 'em all

Doesn't the article clearly state that its a rumor??? Just like the bolt was supposed to launch the 14th and we see how that turned out. Until AT&T actually says that's true, its just a rumor.

The difference is is the screenshot looked like it was from an ATT system and not a vendor or third party. It's possible its wrong, but looks like a legitimately ATT screen.

Ohhh I'm not saying its not going to happen, I'm just saying its kinda bold to state that it WILL be moved up unless you actually work for AT&T and know for sure.

If this isn't out on the 24th, I'm going to be super-pissed. I went over to Verizon to get onto an iPhone that works, but was won over by the TB. If it isn't out, I might have to trade-up for an X.

Best Buy is authorized either way. I don't understand how that is any different than being a VZW screen. Either way, it was a terrible failure on everyone's part, and proved that there is no reason to believe rumors.

I don't think VZW is scrambling. You jump ship, you pay an ETF, they get paid...if you bought your current phone full retail, they got paid...for every 2 people that have working AT&T service in their area there are 150 more people who don't

For those who aren't all gaga over a dual core process that's not proven to be faster they will probably still go for the TBolt... Even if AT&T was remotely good in my area I'm still waiting to see what's so great that would make me jump ship. There's no Gingerbread. Only 32GB total onboard. No unlimited plans.

VZW doesn't care. They will make their money regardless of the few people who say they give up and are washing their hands clean of them. If they cared they would've given an official release date and not have left people in the dark.

Something is going on on VZW's page. If you go to smartphones, the total listed is 30. I believe it was 27 yesterday. Additionally, none of the sorts are working. For instance, if you click "Brand/OS" or "Style" you aren't given the drop down to narrow your choices.

I am having no problem sorting as you describe. I selected HTC and only three phones come up. The Incredible new, the Incredible pre-owned and the Ozone with Talks. No Bolt yet...
