No, what you said is that it was delayed until the 28th. This correction gives no date, and in fact leaves a lot of room for a 24th launch.

I went to BB yesterday and asked the rep when the Tbolt was coming out. He said it already came out (he was dead serious) and I told him to show it to me. (keep in mind that I've been following the tbolt closely since october). He looks around for a phone for about 10 minutes and comes back to me and says we are all out and I should come in next week when they get more. ****ing dumbass. Clearly, the ppl at BB don't know whats going on. The only ppl who do know are people who are on a need0to know basis.

i just called my best buy i go to in tucson AZ. its coming out "feb. 24th due to an unknown delay" i also used best buys live chat and got some info that they are doing a major pull of ads because many were misprinted.

Justin, I know you're trying to have your "see, I told you so!!!" moment here, but what you said last night was already out on the interwebs a full 48 hours before your thread last night:

All we're saying is that what you were told still is not written in stone anywhere and could very well change. After all, we were promised the 14th by Best Buy and then that was bumped. Then we were hearing the 24th was the date, but now it appears that date is being bumped as well.

I do hope you are right, but there is nothing unique about the first dates that fell through and your experience. The 28th date could fall through just as easily, mate. Or any of the March dates we've heard, for that matter. Would you be willing to give us each a hundred bucks if you're proven wrong?? I thought not, and that's all we're trying to say. Nothing is "official" yet, only hearsay and grapevine rumor

But when he tells me what I seen with my own eyes didn't exist and I was spreading false rumors then today the EXACT same document is printed and put out for everyone to see is displayed he is still insisting that he was right. The only thing it doesn't show is the date which it does in their system and if you look at the top it shows instock on the 27th. So, basically he was and is wrong and he is not man enough to admit it. That's all I am saying.

And also, what I showed last night was the document that showed the phone was coming out today in the mobile section of the add which had not been seen by anyone yet. So, that's all I am saying. I'll wait until the 28th and come back and see what excuse he gives then, cause I am sure he will have one!

Alright, so with the Best Buy fiasco, and just uneasiness about the date, I have a question. I bought a VZW iPhone 4 on the 11th, with the intention of going back to iOS. I miss Android too much, however. I was expecting the Bolt to have been on sale by the 25th, which is the last day of my return period.

So here's my question: Do you think the reps at the VZW store would cut me ANY Slack at all if the phone comes out on the 28th? I was thinking of going in sometime this week and talking to them about it. I would love to stay with VZW because their coverage is so much better, but I want an Android phone, and I don't want any of the ones they currently have.

If they can't do anything, I'll just sell my iPhone on ebay and purchase the Bolt outright, but I'm hoping they will.

I'm shipping my Dinc out on the 24th or 25th (Sold on eBay). I SERIOUSLY doubt they are going to cut you any slack on the iPhone return. That said, to get a clean ESN on the iPhone prior to sale, all you have to do is activate another phone on that line. Borrow a dumbphone from somebody while we wait on the Bolt. Until you activate another phone on that line, the buyer will be unable to use the iPhone. This is the advice I was given by an Executive CSR at Verizon.

They won't cut any slack. if they don't release by 24th then you could do this.. (not sure if it work so use it at your own risk).

On the 24th return iPhone and switch your service from VZ to sprint or at&t (i think you can do it same day 24th). Then use that new phone from at&t or sprint for say few days until Tbolt comes out, they you switch it back to Verizon and return your phone to at&t or sprint.

I know it's a lot to do but they play games so should you..

Um... Best Buy made it a mess by taking preorders without knowing a release date, then they made it worse by putting it in an ad without a release date. I'm pretty sure none of us had anything to do with either of those things. At least I didn't

The forum people had nothing to do with Verizon giving bestbuy a date, and then when it was pushed back not clarifying, ads are made weeks in advance, the forum goers had nothing to do with those either.

I wish I had something credible to say. These forums have been filled with people saying the delay of the bolt is for the very reason you described...if that is true....not looking good....but then again who knows anything right now about the T-Bolt except that it is a phone that actually exists!

Once I heard that BB was taking perorders I returned my fascinate (30 days) and put that money towards the tbolt. These "delays", if we can accurately call them that, are really annoying. I don't want to buy old tech, so I'm waiting regardless, but it still sucks.

They will not cut you any slack on the date. Can't you just return the iPhone and go back to using your old phone if the Bolt isn't out yet?
